
What does that mean and where did you hear it? Isn't all pain "nerve pain" - having pain without nerves would be hard. It is a metaphor designed to convey meaning, but often it is based on incorrect information. Understanding pain is always the first and best way to treat it.

It is tricky when explaining pain to make sure the person you are helping doesn't think this is what you are saying. But thats probably as they have heard it somewhere else. And it is, of course, total bollocks
