Larry Mizell Jr. does an amazing job introducing a whole period of music and Seattle history that open up my understanding of so much more music since the « spaceship « period. This is one of those « didn’t know I needed to know this » stories and Larry and KEXP know how to tell them. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful glimpse into the cosmos

This is music journalism at its very best

Awesome podcast full of astounding music. Loving learning more about these too often overlooked artists. Falling in love with Seattle and KEXP and music all over again.

I had some awareness of the art and music of Black Constellation, but your podcast really brought the pieces into focus for me. I am intrigued and looking forward to learning more of their story. Thank you KEXP for bringing this experience front and center.

I’ve been looking for this storytelling coming out of Seattle - my hometown. I’m a big fan of Shabazz and I’ve already learned about so many artists I can’t wait to hear more.

This will inspire many more collectives. It certainly has inspired me!
