What the hell is wrong with her voice!? It doesn’t seem human! Ai!

Her voice is like a sedative! As badly as I wish I could make it through an episode with crashing; I have yet. This is a phenomenal thing for me! Exactly what I was looking for. I have gone back and listened to them to completion and they are so interesting. I love the random, extra details she adds. She paints a very vivid picture.

Amazing stories spun into fabulous folklore

Monotone ai voice sometimes good sometimes not. I love the content, just can’t listen to this AI voice.

Good podcast, just wish that there was more Chinese and Japanese folklore.

I love the tales on your podcast, can you maybe do a video on the sheepsquatch

Great show can you do more episodes on Chinese/tibetan and Baltic creatures

Can you please do an episode about the giwakwa it is an Abenaki legend similar to the wendigo

Awesome podcast.

I luv the show, but the adult toys adds are frustrating. There used to be warnings about explicit or gruesome episodes, but now lots of episodes have explicit adds.

All of this is AI Generated. The pictures, the scripts, everything

Fantastic information and storytelling. Juicy, fun, eerie, repeatable. Please turn the background music WAY down cuz I love your voice but the music is super distracting. Always look forward to each episode.

I just discovered this podcast as I started reading the book Creepy Campfire Stories. I’m always up for the Supernatural and the book has been great so far and now I’ve discovered the podcast and see that she is a fellow Arkansan (Greetings from Monticello)!

Hello I am twelve years old and I do t usually like creepy stuff like at all it scares me but my teacher asked about folk lore the other day and I was like immediately curious too then I found this podcast and I have watched like a lot of them love this podcast so so much thank u for taking your time to read this 😊 also can u do more vampires please 🧛🏻‍♀️

The Tataille, Feux Follets, The Devil's Toy Box

One critique may you could be a little less repetitive? You tend to repeat short phrases a bit. Otherwise an incredible creepy podcast!

It gives me something to think about and tell people about

I absolutely love everything about this podcast. From your voice, the stories, and the lore being explained in full.

I love this podcast, it’s very entertaining and I learn so much from it, I like how you but so much work into researching folklore. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So one time, there was this cave, and there was a music guy, a very big guy, a MINOR, and a guy that had a prosthetic. After getting lost in the cave, they made it out, and met a big spider named obi… BUt THEN A HUGE, MAJESTIC, BEAUTIFUL, ALLMIGHTY, PURPLE WORM named smarsh smashed through the walls, and said the greatest words of wisdom - “smarsh is king.” Anyway go listen to tales from the stinky dragon bye

Good podcast 🙂do one about the hide behind criptid please 🙏 '~'

Good but the narrators voice is very weird

So, there’s hundreds of podcasts about ghosts, goblins and all things spooky. But there’s only ONE Carman!

I am thoroughly enjoying the dread these tales bring, and her voice is very soothing to hear such horrors in. I would have given 5 stars but as others also noted the repetition of phrases and mispronunciation of words seems careless for such well constructed stories.

Love the podcast and you pick good stories. I would love if you could do the Loch Ness Monster. Great to listen to when I can. I have been listening for a while. And thank you.

I have binged watched on YouTube and listened on Spotify, trying to get past how badly some words are mispronounced, but after 20+ episodes saying ethnic names, words, and even the mythical creatures incorrectly, it starts to feel like a disrespect and disregard of cultures. If you’re going to narrate and tell the tales of cultures not your own, at least do the research and make an effort to say them correctly before you publish for profit.

This podcast is genuinely amazing at its core. But the unnecessary music bed makes the experience agonizing . And there’s no consistency overall . Bad

Can you do one about the window watcher pls

Love your podcast very entertaining and also I love your book that I found you.

🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺🥺

Love Listening to these during work

Interesting, suspenseful, these stories have everything I like! I also love old and creepy stories. Keep up the good work!

Little bit scary but love mythology and folklore so much! Lupercalia episode was the best love origin stories!

But I do think that the stories are really cool

This is one of my favorite horror podcasts on the platform. Everything from Carmen’s beautiful and Erie voice, the sound effects, the stories themselves, everything about Freaky Folklore is just amazing. Definitely worth listening to! 10/10

I look forward to new episodes and I’m still catching up on all the old ones as well. Carmen’s voice is perfect for the content and the way the stories are intertwined with the facts and history of each subject. Can’t get enough!

Seasonal horror folklore see the truth

This show is beyond amazing. I love mytholgy so much and am in the field of psychology and my brain is so happy with this show. Carmen is everything you could ever want in a Podcast host, she's just fantastic! Each episode is so exciting. What a fun and freaky way to explore different aspects of fear across cultures!

I tried listening for 4 months and I hate the soundtracks used on each episode. They are loud ,distracting and nonsensical. Good luck I’m unfollowing

Do the STAR TREK Lower Decks Moopsy next!

Love the lore and something you can hear all year around for those who love everything spooky.

I honestly don’t know how I got here but I love freaky folklore I have the book and want the Freaky Folklore cards I will get them to

Wonderful show, definitely something I look forward to listening when I’m at work each week. 😊

W podcast love the wendigo episodes background music is exquisite

Loved the way the theme of the cast was told. Kept me wondering what was gonna happen next, mingled with lore, personable like story. With nibbles of the fear and doubt in the hints of what made it spookier, Carmen Carrier sealed the lore behind a rustic buckle.

Good show. Jolly Good Show!

I have been listening to Freaky Folklore for the better part of two years now. Although all the episodes are fantastic, The Black Annis episode was the best I’ve heard! I like to tell stories by the fire pit in the colder autumn nights… I’m going to remember this one!

All episodes told in creepy detail. Thank you

Who ever said more monsters vs monster I totally agree I love this podcast and the monster vs monster it makes me feel like I’m in the story so totally agree with you on that

This has so much skibidi rizz
