Hosea, called to marry an adulterous woman, told to name his children “Not Loved” and “Not my People.” What is going on in the book of Hosea? Why is he called to this marriage? What is the significance with the meaning of his children's names? How can we see Jesus through this book?

We begin a new sermon series this Sunday called Boundless Love, a four-week study in the book of Hosea.  What do the writings and experiences of a minor prophet living 2,700 years ago have to do with us, here, today?  How does the Old Testament relate to the New Testament, to Jesus, and to you?

We continue our “Sounds of the Season” sermon series on Sunday.  Pastor Josh will be preaching on the biblical theme of invitation through the lens of the Christmas carol “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen.”  What might this song and the Scripture it's rooted in (Luke 2:8-20) teach us about receiving and responding to the Good News of Jesus?

There’s much to cherish about the Christmas season, including many of the songs/hymns we sing during this time. Our Advent preaching series this year will focus on four favorite Christmas carols, highlighting the biblical truths they contain. This week Pastor Josh kicks off the series by considering the theme of anticipation through the lens of the song “O Come O Come Emmanuel.”

Pastor Josh will wrap up our “Walk the Walk” sermon series with a teaching on practicing and protecting truth. Practice the truth.  Protect the truth.  In a nutshell, this is the core message of the books of 2 John and 3 John.

The book of 1 John is full of clear distinctions: walking in light vs. walking in darkness (ch1), living in sin vs. living in grace (ch2), being children of God vs children of the devil (ch3). In ch4, we see another clear distinction: the Spirit of Truth vs. the spirit of falsehood. In 1 John 3 we see a clear line being drawn asking us the question, Who do we identify with? Throughout our lives we will experience times of walking in and out of God’s love. Take a listen as Pastor Kyle unpacks the question: God loves us; do we love God?

In 1 John 2, we’re invited to live in grace (by acknowledging our sin and accepting God’s mercy) and to walk in love (in our relationship to Jesus, to others, to the world, and to the truth). Join us as Pastor Josh unpacks this powerful passage.

Pastor Mark will dig into 1 John 1:1-10 which speaks about “Walking in the Light.”
