It's safe to say that the culture seems to be already morphing into a totalitarian world government, what conspiracy theorists tend to call the New World Order where there is no more freedom of thought, or a certain kind of expression. And, if you don't side with the current trend or movement, you are axed out.
We are seeing this more and more as the days go by, folks like rapper Da Baby are next up for cancellation after refusing to "sell their souls" or agree to the current terms of modern day living where we all have to abide to one thing, one rule, one way or else. From Hip Hop and Entertainment artists', Anti-Vaxxer's, anyone can get it.
But, according to the Bible, even God gives us the option to go to and fro, however unstable that may be, God still gives up the option. This 'Cancel Culture' thing is too modern day slavery.
Related Scriptures:
Genesis 2:16-17: And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
Colossians 3:13: Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
Luke 17:4: Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
Psalm 32:5: Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Romans 5:7: For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die.
Proverbs 11:14: Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers.
Proverbs 27:23-24: Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.
Luke 12:48: But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.
Ephesians 4:13-14: This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.

The divisive conversation of racial issues & tension within the culture has long been a thing dating back to biblical days; however, while the differences of race regarding the Jews and Gentiles was topic of conversation in Jesus' day, it was never based on whether He was black or white.
There are a flock of black folk who steady deny and negate the faith based on the topic of 'black and white', but why when we know the issue to be the cause of most division, turmoil, and lack of love within the state of which we currently live?
Let's talk about it.
Related Scriptures:
Daniel 7:9: “As I looked, “thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.
Revelation 1:14-15: The hair of His head was white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes were like a blazing fire. His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the roar of many waters
Ephesians 3:6: This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
John 7:41: Others said, “He is the Messiah.” Still others asked, “How can the Messiah come from Galilee?
Acts 21:25: As for the Gentile believers, we have written to them our decision that they should abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality.”
Ecclesiastes 1:9: What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.
John 13:34: So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.

We, black people hear the words "oppression" or "oppressors" and automatically think the white man, we think someone usually of another race, but that is not always the case. Your oppressor can be your own brother or sister in fact, the person whom you shared a bedroom, a roof, the most unsuspecting person at times.
While there is an oppression based on race, let us not overlook the many other images that oppression can look like: black on black crime, stealing from your own kind, hindering the bag of another because you disagree with them or their viewpoint, endeavoring to silence the voice of one who shares a different opinion or lifestyle than you.
Oppression is not always black and white.
Related Scriptures:
Job 15:20: The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, Even the number of years that are laid up for the oppressor.
Jeremiah 22:3: This is what the LORD says: "Uphold justice and righteousness. Deliver from their oppressor those who have been robbed. Don't mistreat or do violence to the alien, the orphan, or the widow, or shed the blood of innocent people in this place.
Malachi 3:5: “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the LORD of hosts.

There is always more to dissect when it comes to the word of God, irrespective of who is reporting it. And most times, it causes us longstanding harm not to listen due to missing out on the revelation that lies behind it. Like a light bulb that turns on in your mind, that should always be the internal reaction to the divine word; and if not, something may be severely lacking.
Tila Tequila may have ruffled more than some feathers in her interpretation of Isaiah 3:16-17 with what she said regarding black women and our hair, but that's no reason to get offended; it gives reason to do some digging. Listen in as we dug deeper into the book of Isaiah 3.
Related Scriptures:
Job 1:11-12 - But put forth Your hand now and touch (destroy) all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face.” Then the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that Job has is in your power, only do not put your hand on the man himself.” So Satan departed from the presence of the LORD.
Job 2:3b-6 - "And still he maintains and holds tightly to his integrity, although you incited Me against him to destroy him without cause.” Satan answered the LORD, “Skin for skin! Yes, a man will give all he has for his life. But put forth Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh [and severely afflict him]; and he will curse You to Your face.” So the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, only spare his life.”
Mark 1:27b - He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.
Numbers 14:18 - The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.’

Social media pioneer Tila Tequila or whatever she is going by these days is remembered as a lot of things, the least of them all, a Christian; however, as the newly professed Christian, Bride of Christ that she is referring herself to be, she has quite a lot to say about the Black Woman and our hair (among other things).
Here is Part I of my take…
Related Scriptures:
Isaiah 3:16-17 - Moreover, the LORD said, “Because the daughters of Zion are proud
And walk with outstretched necks and seductive (flirtatious, alluring) eyes, And trip along with mincing steps and an affected gait And walk with jingling [c]anklets on their feet, 17. Therefore the Lord will afflict the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion with scabs [making them bald], And the LORD will expose their foreheads (send them into captivity).”

Living in poverty doesn't always mean being financially dissolute, or dwelling in meager and scanty conditions. There are many forms of poverty. Above all, it is a matter of lack; the lack of any good thing.
The richest man on earth can at the same time, be the poorest man on earth. And let me tell you how…
Related Scriptures:
Proverbs 10:15 - The wealth of the rich is their fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor.
Ephesians 6:17 - Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Have you ever tripped over your own feet? It's not that hard to do when pride and arrogance begins to consume you.
One starts to trip when their #successes leads them to stumble; and that is surely the time when you should pause and re-examine self before you proceed again with proper caution.
The minute you start to feel yourself is the minute when you will surely start trippin'.
So, stay #humble folks.

Hip Hop trio, Migos were on the Breakfast Club last week promoting their newest album 'Culture III' and had this to say regarding today's generation, calling out all who buy into the "Divide & Conquer" tactics of the industry.
Related Scriptures:

This week, I had to be brutally honest with myself and admit that I wasn't spending enough time with God.
Walking in Christ is not easy, and how many of us can admit that we aren’t doing this thing right? 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽 It all starts with making and giving Him more of our time!
As high as my aspirations and desires are with regards to where I see my position to be in the Kingdom, do I actually deserve any position at all? Am I doing as much as I should? Am I dedicating enough personal time between the one whom I call my Savior?
What is my end-goal with lifting up prayers to the Most High; is it just to say that I did it because the Bible encourages it? More than half the time, we tend to seek God with questions and concerns, but then never give him the chance to respond back to us with the answers. It’s like we say what we have to say, then bam, we’re out. That is hardly the way to build a good relationship, let alone a friendship.
Did it ever occur to you that God might want to share his feelings or thoughts with us too? We can't sit with him long enough to even know what He wills for us, so into our own desires, wants and to-do's.
I can admit to wanting more from God, and I can also admit to not doing nearly enough to deserve it. And then the other question, am I only interacting with Him because of what he can do for me? Hmmm.
There are many of us who put out whether it's prayer or bodies of work and tie it to the faith for credit or even profit, but don't actually have a real relationship with God established. And that is, so not who I want to be. I repent.
