Odiliah is an old Student of mine I happened to teach some few years ago. She's no longer that small girl in form 1 back then but she's grown to have a mind of her on.
Her story is quiet heartbreaking even though she tries to make a light not of it having done some work in healing the heartache. Seeing her in class back then it was unlikely for me to know all that she was going through and how school acted as an escape from her harsh home environment.
She's currently pursuing her Bachelor in Counseling Psychology at Kisii University with an aim of helping people who go through what she has gone through.
She's also a member of a young organization they are building with a number of friends which is determined to engage Young adults and youths; equipping them with knowledge and tools to handle life as they share what they have already learned.

Mustapha is one of my students in the school I teach. I first recognized him when he was presenting school News in the school assembly. He was so good; confidence with a voice like Jeff Koinange 😅. I realized he had so much potential thus I offered myself to him as a mentor. We meet regularly for mentorship sessions to discuss many topics but majorly LEADERSHIP and influence.
This is one of those sessions.

“The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

Expectations are some of the inevitable hardles we will always face as we grow to become who we need to become. We have expectations for people we love; family and friends and they haves there own expectations towards us. Some are generally positive and expected 😃 because if someone invest in something they definitely expect some return (to whomever much is given much is expected). However, some of the expectations if not checked from an honest perspective can be negative and end up becoming a stumbling block to our success and general mental health. For example we expect our enemies to see how far we have gone even with there ill motives towards us🥴 while they are busy praying and expecting for our downfall 👎🏾 and the cycle goes on where we end up living our whole life trying to prove a point to people who don't really matter as much as we think or they think 🤔. So who are we really living for? Who's word about us really matter? Who is supposed to expect anything from us and how should we go about it?. Listen in and leave a comment 🤗

“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say— “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, When men rose up against us, Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us; Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul; Blessed be the Lord, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.

It's okay to process how you feel before God. He welcomes you in. "Come lets reason out together ☺️..." (Isiah 1:18)
In His presence there is more clarity of love and affection for you to bask in 🥰.
Let your questions lead you there🤗
