Resurgence of Love for Ms Hill
Joyful Joyful oh Lord we adore… MS HILL! Biggest respect for the care and consideration of this podcast- the level of depth in which mass amounts of industry professionals were used to speak about Lauryn Hill’s contribution to the music community amongst the background of the culture climate at the time…. Gave me and all listeners a new Insight and respect for the creative genius of this trailblazer. The editing was incredibly well done and the content was compelling- I have all Lauryn/Fugees Spotify on repeat! Matt and Krystal outdid themselves ❤️

Love the first episode of season 2, can’t wait to hear the rest of them. Keep it up!
OT The GoldN Child
For Lauryn Hill fans and more …
The style of this podcast is such that it plays well with headphones or simply in the background. You’ll want to listen to each episode more than once. The hosts, Krystal and Matt, have created a balance between their own commentary and the clips of others that is reminiscent of an NPR deep exploration program. Well worth a listen …. and then listening again.

Excellent hosts + Unique Insights into the cross-sections of Music & Spirituality = Flickers
TLDR; This show is *chef’s kiss*
Confession: this is not the first time I’ve listened to a podcast hosted by Matt Linder. After following his creative endeavors on the Music(ale) podcast and gaining a new music scholar friend, I just knew that Flickers would be something special.
Now that the highly-anticipated Season 2 (which takes a deep dive into the ethos, pathos, and mythos of the undeniable and legendary Ms. Lauryn Hill) has arrived… I’m happy to say it was worth the wait.
The addition of Krystal Roberts also cements this podcast at the top of my favorites list. Her contributions to the show and insight into the lore of Lauryn Hill are truly exceptional.

Top notch
OK, yeah, so I am Matt's dad, but that is just the reason I was initially drawn to this exploration podcast of Son Lux (in this season, anyway). I've been generally unaware of Son Lux, but this well-produced and extremely well-researched treatment has raised my interest in the artist and the music, providing insight and depth. I look forward to the reminder of the season and beyond, and further checking out the Son Lux catalog.
