I greatly enjoy the depth of research and pleasant groundedness of this show. McKenna and Gooey keep the show moving and on-track, with valid observations and a sincere approach that looks for the significance of every game, whatever the quality. The guests bring helpful perspectives too, and the hosts show warmth toward them without letting the show descend into just a recorded conversation of people hanging out. I like the music too!

Flashback 64 is my comfort podcast - I love hearing Gooey and McKenna talk about these games. Plus they have a stable of awesome guests.

Flashback 64 hits the spot. Gooey and McKenna are two positive and open hosts who welcome great and informative guests on to each episode. The conversations are always friendly, even when discussing a not so quality game, and I appreciate that. No loud dunking or outlandish hot takes, just good dialog filled with nostalgia. I love the format as being chronological, and they don’t rush through it at all. I always look forward to new episodes and recommend it to any nostalgic gaming fan!

Whether you grew up playing these games or are just discovering the Nintendo 64 now, I highly recommend Flashback 64. Each episode is carefully researched and well-produced, and it’s nice to see such positivity shown to this sometimes underrated console. A 120 star podcast.

I love this podcast but it is a gaming podcast not a political commentary podcast and the hosts do not know what is going on in Israel/Gaza

Love this podcast! Although most of the content that they cover on this podcast came from my infancy I still find it very entertaining and enjoyable. Gooey Makenna and the rest of the Gang always put out great content! I am a Zelda dungeon content consumer and found these guys and this podcast through that channel. They do a great job on both channels

The N64 was my first console and I recently started collecting old guides and games to add to my game room. I enjoy the references to what’s going on during that time period. Fun, breezy, and enjoyable to listen to!

I am a little bit older than the hosts, and I appreciate hearing their recollections of the cultural climate at the time different games for the N64 came out. I vividly remember when the system debuted; it was a huge deal! The hosts do a great job of explaining some behind-the-scenes information for each game, too. Just a fun podcast!

Great idea to talk about the games within their historical and cultural context. It immediately brings me back to my life in the 90s and 00s, and my own experiences with this era of gaming. The hosts are really good. You can feel the love!
