One of my favorite podcasts
Flash Point History is phenomenal, and deserves as much recognition as other well known and beloved history podcasts such as Hardcore History by Dan Carlin. Amazing work.

Begs the question
Misuse of Begs The Question in the Attila the Hun 3, approx4 minutes in. BTQ refers to circular logic not ‘raises the question’ or ‘requires the question’, either of which is preferable. Love the podcast looking forward to more episodes.

Great Podcast!
As a history lover, it is hard to find good podcasts. Too many of them are done by clowns who spend more time trying to be funny rather than discussing influential events. This podcast is different. This series presents historical facts in the way someone tells a story. It is not dry at all. That is what I enjoy the most!

Extremely informative and keeps your attention
I started with Hannibal and Carthage and was so impressed with it, I had to listen to anything else that Flashpoint History has to offer.

Good Content!
I am an avid fan of all ancient history.
This podcast is an excellent mid-level view of history from all points of the compass. It provides good information, and it whets your appetite, to dig deeper if you want to .

History You Never Heard
I can’t stop listening to these podcasts. They’re all so interestingly done. And I’m a senior history buff - I can’t believe I never heard anything about the Islamic culture being as far west as Spain and France for 700 years! All we ever hear/heard otherwise is about that being the Dark Ages. Keep up the great work. I’m already recommending that my friends listen to these also.

Learn how to pronounce caliphate!
Caliphate is pronounced with the short -A sound, not long A!

Punic wars
Very good series. I’m hooked on flashpoint history. Always wanted to learn more about the Punic wars. I love ancient history and hope to hear more podcasts on it.

Vini Vidi Podcastium!
Stupendous story telling with a lot of great references to more recent history. I’m hoping he comes out with more on classical antiquity. The Peloponnesian War is definitely a flash point.
Keep up the great show! Hope to see more eps soon.

High Quality
Have heard a number of history podcasts and the Punic Wars series was superb, if this was publicly traded I would invest in this. Definitely not getting noticed enough.

Excellent Historical Podast
Both informative and entertaining, goes into more depth and detail than other podcasts but never to the point where it slows down the narration. Love it!

Great rendition of long gone events
I’ve watched the Flash Point History Reconquista series on YouTube and have learned a lot of interesting facts that I didn’t know before. A lot of people know these big historical events like Renaissance or Reconquista etc. but if you want to learn the inner workings of disparate factors, personas, factions that brought those events about over long centuries this podcast is for you.

What a fantastic podcast! I love the in-depth analysis yet the dude still pulls back and hits you with some sarcasm. Intended or not. 🤷🏽♂️.

Perfect
Absolutely fantastic! The history has great detail and pacing, and Nihil has such a soothing voice. Everything is incredibly well researched, and he clearly has a very in-depth understanding and passion for the topics he covers. Truly my favorite podcast ever! Try the Punic wars and Attila the Hun with flash point history. Everything is great, but I think those ones are the very best.

Immersive
Nitin Sil is such a joy to listen to. He is unbelievably skilled at immersing in you in these historical worlds with a masterful combination of contextual references, personal anecdotes, solid research and citations, and a smooth speaking voice. His series on the Islamic history of Spain was a pleasant insight into a topic I virtually knew nothing about.

The narration is on point engaging and simply fascinating. It’s worth supporting his work and I look forward to more.

Outstanding
Flash Point History is a bit of a sleeper gem in the world of long-form history podcasts. It deserves more fame. Sil is a talented and careful researcher, blending secondary and primary sources in well-written scripts. His delivery is smooth and consistent and he has obvious passion for his topics. He's also the only podcaster I can think of who takes the time to create his own maps to supplement his episodes. Don't miss this one.
