Hi Michelle and Erin! I just want to thank you so much for sharing your joy and information with SLPs all over the world. In the last year, I switched from skilled nursing to EI, and with the help of your podcasts and resources, I’ve felt confident in my transition. It’s because of you I know of neurodiversity affirming care, as this was not even discussed when I was in grad school. It’s because of you I have 8 kids on my caseload who are getting AAC device trials or are ready to receive their own device because you educated us on the companies and resources available to us. You both have touched the lives of thousands of clients you’ve never met just by creating this platform. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

A lot of podcasts are fun or informative but it’s hard to find ones that are both. First Bite does just that! It tackles current issues in the field and teaches in a way that’s effective but enjoyable. I love that it gives you tangible ideas that you can implement immediately and doesn’t just reiterate information that hasn’t been tried out. Professionals who are actually practicing give you the best and most up to date tidbits and you feel like you are part of the conversation.

First Bite is one of my go-to SLP podcasts. I love the variety of topics covered, the different topics and knowledge areas of the guests, and the real conversational style of this podcast!

This podcast is a perfect mix of a evidence based knowledge, intelligence, entertainment and Michele seems sincerely passionate about her profession. It is a breath of fresh air to be equally entertained whilst learning about pertinent work related topics all at the same time. I have listened to several of her podcasts, and it is amazing how often I can sense the contagious smile in her voice, very much needed in our current season of craziness. Thank you for all that you do: the smiles, the knowledge, and the ongoing discussions and being so accessible.

Michelle and Erin host and lead open, honest conversations that deal with real, practice- oriented problems and solutions. They incorporate evidence based advice in a way that is accessible and easy to listen to on the go! This podcast inspires wonder and curiosity while at the same time it’s like hanging out with two friends who know what it’s like when theory meets practice.

Michelle provides a platform for real topics and relatable, yet diverse speakers. The information provided and the ease in which she collaborates to elicit practical solutions and strategies makes listening worthwhile. Highly recommend browsing the topic list as there is something here for everyone!

Michelle is such a powerhouse. She’s a consummate educator and advocate, pouring her heart into her practice, her patients, and her profession. If you’re interested in learning about PFD from an SLP on the front lines you can’t go wrong with this podcast.

Not only will you fall in love with Michelle & Erin (& each guest) but you will learn so much! Listening to an episode feels like your in the middle of the deepest, most soul enriching conversation that leaves you saying “yes!” and “ooooooooooh!” Though the topics are informative & science based, the episodes are somehow so much fun to listen to.

Both Michelle and Erin are insanely talented, smart, driven, and most importantly passionate about implementing evidence-based practice into the world of speech language pathology. More than this, it shows in their podcast just how much they truly care about advocating for their patients and learning more about the world of SLP. Having a special interest in feeding and swallowing, I can easily say that this podcast has not only taught me heaps of information, but definitely made me think more in depth regarding cases and my patients, specifically. This is such a valuable podcast, can’t believe came across it while looking at different podcasts. An fantastic resource for the SLPs. Found this podcast about a year ago and haven’t stopped listening since. I’ve been able to apply learning to my kiddos, recommend episodes to coworkers specific to topics we are brainstorming, and have earned continuing Ed credit! Keep it up, ladies! Love the show!

Fun and informative!

Michelle is providing much needed information in a easy to access format to anyone who works with children and feeding! Information is always interesting and engaging.

Paeds feeding is such an elusive subject unless you have ALL the money to pay for ALL the trainings because no one will hire you for a feeding position without experience (so if you didn’t get a feeding internship you’re out of luck). But anyway... I made the transition from the schools to EI and then HH and this was a life saver and it impacted how I treat my clients. Also I’m a fellow believer and love Michelle’s testimonies. Thank you for the time and EBF fort you put into helping us become better SLPs!

As a new CFY, I listen to this podcast every week! I have learned so much from listening to Erin and Michelle as they share their hearts for their clients and best practices for so many different cases!

I’m an occupational therapist interested in entering the world of early intervention and I have found this podcast to be SO informative. I pick through some of the episodes that cross over with OT and just any of the others that seem interesting to me. I love listening to them while I drive or do things around the house and I am learning a ton. The information is presented so clearly and I feel so encouraged by the way they speak. It reminds me that everyone starts somewhere and that I am in control and worthy of my making my dreams reality. Thank you so much for such a great podcast!! Definitely recommend to everyone!

AMAZING! Michelle and Erin not only provide evidenced-based, multidisciplinary content, they do it in a way that is engaging, relatable, and easy to understand. They also don’t base their methods on a single approach or topic and take the whole child into consideration. Because of them, I gained the confidence to network with more professionals in my area to develop a strong, comprehensive feeding team. Thank you all for not only providing the content we need, but doing so it a way that is EMPOWERING.

I love the concept of the show but the tangents and squirrels are only cute for so long. I would expect something more professional from speech therapypd.com
