This episode features Dr. Joe Lauro, an Emergency Medicine physician from Rhode Island. Dr. Lauro began his career in EMS, serving as a volunteer EMT at his college and eventually working on the street of New York City as a paramedic with the FDNY. He recounts his experiences on September 11th and talks about how those experiences shaped his future. He gives us an unfiltered look into what his path was from a street medic to a well-respected MD working for better prehospital EMS.
