I love to learn about forgotten women writers, and reading a reissue of Hazel Hawthorne’s Salt House made me want to know more about her. I feel so grateful to Inka for following all the breadcrumbs to piece together Hazel’s remarkable life and legacy. I was moved to tears by the final episode.

Fascinating journey of discovery. It’s wonderful how a breadcrumb can lead to a full-blown odyssey. I only wish I could find a copy of (Hawthorne’s) Salt House.
