"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." - Matthew 6:33
Today we talk with Steve Cook, best-selling author, real estate investor, coach, mentor, husband, father, and all-around super cool dude about his idea of becoming a Lifeonaire. We talk about his discovery of the term, how he found Jesus, how he completely changed is outlook on business and his daily life and how he now lives an abundant life. Now he is pouring back into his community in order to hopefully change as many lives as he can. Steve challenges us to think about what our life vision is, and how we can make our business revolve around that life, not the other way around where our life revolves around our business.

What is the perfect investment?
Our friend Jeremy Hans has grown his real estate portfolio to hundreds of units with this niche asset class - Mobile Home and RV Parks and he is going to tell us why. This was the most popular presentation at the Veterans REI Live Conference and we've asked him to come and educate the Storehouse family on why he is so bullish on this asset.
David and Stu are also believers, as they just partnered with a team to buy some parks in Colorado and are currently looking for more!

We just finished up 3 intense days of education and networking at the Flip Hacking Live conference that is put on by Bill Allen and the 7 Figure Flipping team. All we can say is WOW! There is so much to unpack in these 3 days that we don't have the time to do on this episode, but we hit a few of the ah-ha moments and a few of the topics that made an impact on our path. The biggest thing to take away from this episode is the idea that you have the control to choose who is in your tribe. Surrounding yourself around the people that will lift you up is an absolute game changer and is a must if you want to continuously improve your life.

"A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous." - Proverbs 13:22
Today we talk to our friend Marcus Long about his journey to financial freedom, his vision behind his business, and his mission to create a legacy. We talk about how we can all get caught up in our own identity in our jobs, but how we need to refocus our efforts and figure out what our true WHY is in order to be able to serve, create a real impact and and be an influence to others. Leaving a legacy can mean a lot of different things to different people, but whatever it looks like, there has to be a positive mindset and an intentional action plan to get it in motion. The goal is to be good stewards of what has been given to us by God. "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." - Luke 12:48

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
Today we talk to our friend Ryan Haley who recently released his book titled A Better Way: God’s Design for Less Stress, More Rest, and Greater Success. We talk about how his helicopter crash as a Navy pilot re-energized his faith, his search for purpose, and ultimately finding his passion through allowing God to show him the way. We dig into some of his life stories and the lessons he's learned and how often times a set back can be a set up for future success. The idea that relying on our own human efforts are much less effective than if we allowed God to lead the way. This comes in the form of rest, prayer, trust in the Lord, spiritual connection, and letting go so God can take over.

"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing personal opinion." - Proverbs 18:2
Today we talk about the difference between emotion driven decision making and critical thinking-based decision making. We talk about the pros and cons of "going with your gut", how leaders and successful entrepreneurs can make better decisions through critical thinking, receiving constructive criticism, self awareness, and understanding your own personality. If you want to be taken seriously, a willingness to learn and becoming more educated before speaking and making decisions are important aspects of a successful leader. In our emotion drive culture, many people take that mindset into business, and believe their feelings are the most important driver in their decisions.

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." James 1:12
Today we talk to our Naval Academy classmate, Dan Cnossen, who has an incredible story and will motivate us all. Dan Cnossen was serving as the platoon commander for SEAL Team One in Afghanistan in September 2009 when he stepped on an IED (improvised explosive device) and was wounded in the explosion. The accident caused Cnossen to lose both of his legs just above the knee. He went through rehabilitation first at the Bethesda National Naval Medical Center and later at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he learned to walk with his new prosthetics. Dan was awarded both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star with Valor from the Secretary of the Navy for his service in combat.
We talk about how Dan recovered from this life changing injury, how he pivoted and became a Paralympian to compete in the 2014 and 2018 winter games, winning the Gold Medal in the Biathalon in 2018 winter games, how he sets goals and the actionable steps to get there, how he has become a huge influence for other wounded warriors by telling his story, and how he continues to serve through multiple platforms, to include non-profit organizations like One More Wave and Classroom Champions, and working with the for-profit organization O2X to help other military and first responders with resilience training.

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:45
Today we talk to Mark Solomon, co-founder of Veterans Community Project, a Navy Reservist, and an all-star Realtor in Kansas City and Longmont. Mark tells us about how VCP was started, how it has made a huge impact on veteran homelessness, and how the idea on a napkin has turned into a much bigger organization that is serving those in need. We dig into the economics behind partnering with local real estate developers, improving the city and property values, and partnering with local organizations and personnel to make the community stronger. This is an amazing organization that is truly making a difference!
