Fast forward to July 2017 and the fans celebrated Minnesota United's 6th win by declaring Grant Wahl Day and raising a scarf that read: "You know nothing, Grant Wahl. The North Remembers." Grant, who at first took a bit of umbrage at the reactions to his "hot take" (he very much didn't like this phrase), had by that time become part of the joke. He was incredibly touched by the scarf. This interview (terribly recorded, my deep apologies) was from the week after Grant Wahl Day. Grant will be incredibly missed. He was such a kind and talented man.
