Strongly disagree with their stance that Christian education is a closed handed issue. They never mention special needs in their episode on objections which I think is a very big and important one. They made it seem like finances were the only obstacle/hardship people may face or need to consider when making a school choice. The Risen Motherhood podcast does a great job addressing school choice if you are interested in this topic

I’ve listened to their marriage podcast for a few years and have learned so much. I was therefore excited to listen to their parenting one…much is great parenting wisdom, but their dogmatic stance on homeschooling hurts my heart for those women who either can’t or know it’s outside the bounds of their ability. Not to mention the single parents working multiple jobs or the funds it takes away from our local schools, ensuring the poorest of our community’s children remain in the subpar education systems. The pressures parents face raising kids today is stressful enough, homeschooling is not the end all. It’s the parents and their church community who bear the responsibility of living for Christ in such a beautiful way, the kids can’t help but serve the Lord as they grow. I have 8 kids and each one was schooled differently and each year we started fresh looking at their individual needs and desires. So some went to public for grade school then Christian for high school, some were homeschooled through junior high then returned to school to finish. So listen to this podcast with discretion

Helpful Information and Humble Humans! So happy I found this podcast and am excited to hear more, already binged every episode.

Just started listening to the parenting podcast (I had listen on and off when time allowed to the marriage podcast and really liked and agreed) because I was feeling a little defeated in my parenting and they have shown the light to my heart and given me a renewed energy to steward my children. My husband and I already used some recommendations on discipline! Keep up the Kingdom work!!!

I read the Fierce Marriage book and loved it but had no idea there was a podcast. I was so excited to see they had podcasts for both marriage and parenting! I really appreciate how they tie everything they talk about to scripture. There’s so much self help nonsense out there for parenting but the Bible is the ultimate help/instruction for us to live by! Having a podcast to listen to that is all about biblical parenting is just wonderful! Praying God continues to bless this ministry.

They have a lot of depth and great content. Sometimes a but rambly. Biggest problem is they need a sound engineer. For both their fierce marriage and fierce parenting their intro is irritating the music doesn’t need to happen there doesn’t need to be “the other side.” Also they mentioned they got new mics and since then the sound is worse. There’s thumping that shouldn’t be heard. When they say Um, agree with each other with their noises or the words with b’s and p’s and a lot of others there’s extra noise that is not enjoyable. I only listen on podcast and not YouTube so maybe it’s not so irritating when watching but when listening it’s almost enough to deter from listening. The biblical content keeps me coming back, especially with since I have girls at similar ages and stages.

They spend a lot of time bantering back and forth. More of a plus minus there. The messages and lessons they bring are usually really good. Appreciate the wisdom as we just had our first kid this week. - First Time Dad

Overall I like both of their podcasts. I think they have a heart for marriage and parenting that is commendable, but as someone who is maybe a bit older and has older kids, I think there are instances where experience lends itself to credibility. Not always, but in the ongoing topic of home educating, it’s hard to be an expert until you’ve lived through many ages and stages (and even special needs). I fully own it’s a touchy subject, but the way they come across at times borders on arrogance. As if they have all the answers. I don’t for a second think that’s intentional, but that’s a perspective of a mom that has had to make some hard choices (alongside my husband) regarding how and realizing that God actually led us to place one of our children in a public school setting. Anyhow, I almost didn’t post this because I feel like a jerk saying it, but at the same time I think we all need to take a step back sometimes and own that we don’t know what we don’t know.

Now that I have a little girl of my own, I can use all the gospel centered parenting guidance I can get. I love this family and the way they model God’s plan for family. I have grown to love Fierce Marriage, and was so excited when Ryan and Selena came up with a parenting podcast as well! My husband and I are just starting our parenting journey, but I already listen to every episode and I’m keeping so many bits of information in mind for the future. Their biblically-based, raw and honest research and information is such a helpful and encouraging resource to anyone raising children. I cannot say enough good things about it. 6/5 stars.

I am so encouraged to look at my faith everyday when I listen to these two. They’re always pointing to the Lord and Bible’s authority. I am sorry if this sounds terrible, but I feel it’s what makes all of this real..living out our Christian walk together even in the face of not agreeing. There haven’t been too many episodes, but I have already seen myself questioning some things, small, very small. But I know in my heart if I were to talk to this wonderful couple that we’d have an understanding. I say that HARD thing to say this…I will gladly and excitedly keep listening because these two are so real, transparent, and true to the Word, and I value that the most. THANK YOU! I see my role as a wife and mother in a very different and more Christ-like perspective because of you both.

Honestly, in this world, even with our church family and close friends, it still feels like we are the only ones who want to hold fast to biblical truths and raise our children in a safe, faithful, abiding environment. Ryan and Selena say the things that are unpopular and therefore hard to say but so, so good to hear and so important to spread! They do the research and give great resources in the show notes to go deeper on topics that pertain to you. You aren’t alone. Being a Christian parent is tough right now. I have been listening to Selena and Ryan’s Fierce Marriage podcast since 2019. My husband and I were struggling with infertility and this podcast helped me refocus on my relationship with God and my husband. All in His timing, we were blessed with our daughter last year. I highly recommend Fierce Parenting. Exploring the tough topics of parenting through God’s words as they apply to parenting is amazing. Parenting is hard but we aren’t alone!

Thankful for this podcast. Love turning it on when I am needing help from the Lord with my kids (daily) especially at nap time. Such a blessing! Wisdom from the Lord.

Ryan and Selena are a wholesome voice with a Christian perspective. As a husband and father, they encourage me to stay connected with God so that I can be the best version of me. Despite many options for podcasts and voices to have in my ear, Ryan and Selena have continued to be a priority for my time.

At 23 minute mark, I was in tears. Desire. What am I desiring more than the witnessing my children’s moments. The countless times they say mommy look or watch me throughout the day. Thank you for this. I just recently fell in love with the Fierce Marriage podcast and the timing of launching Fierce Parenting is perfect.

I was pregnant at the same time as Selena and remember hoping they would one day offer practical, gospel-centered advice for parenthood. A couple years later and here they are doing just that! Although we've never met, this power couple connects with their listeners in a way that makes you feel like you’ve known them for years. They are transparent, practical, and obedient to God’s word. I am so excited about how I will grow as a mom & fellow believer from this podcast!

This family is dedicated to a gospel centered way of life which is so rare these days. Bold, helpful, Christ centered! Couldn’t recommend this podcast more! I have been listening to the Fierce Marriage podcast for a while, and it has done so many positive things for my marriage that I was hoping to find something similar for my role as a mom. I am thrilled that there is now a Christ-centered parenting tool out there to help with all the ups and downs of raising kids in this world.
