Janeth Castrejon is originally from Panama and has been living in Southwest Florida since 1989. After graduating from Cypress Lake High School, Janeth was recruited into the US Army and was stationed in Ft Bragg NC for 4 years.

Upon her honorable discharge from the US Army as an Accounting Specialist, Janeth returned to Florida to raise her family and continue her career within the financial industry. She worked for various companies like SunTrust Bank, WCI Communities, and Telemundo.

She recently received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from Florida Gulf Coast University and is currently working for CareerSource Southwest Florida as the Communications Manager.

Giving back to her community is also close to Janeth’s heart -- she volunteered at the SWFL Hispanic Chamber from 2009 to 2018 as the Chair of the board, and is currently on the Media Advisory Committee for WGCU, a member of FPRA, and board member of the News-Press Editorial Board. Janeth is the proud mother of a young lady named Victoria, and a rescued cat named Midnight.
