The Seattle Seahawks added to their defensive back group after making a trade with the Detroit Lions on Tuesday. To help Seahawks fans understand why the Lions made the move, Chris Perfett of the Pride of Detroit podcast joins the show to talk about how this move signals some big questions about the Detroit Lions who have played well through seven weeks despite their losing record. Quandre Diggs is now set to be a part of the Seahawks through 2021 after signing a 3 year, $18 million contract extension with the Lions just over a year ago. Diggs primarily has been playing strong safety for the Lions, but has flexibility to play at multiple positions in the secondary.

Now entering his second season as a full-time starter for the Lions, Diggs was the one who gave Sam Darnold his "welcome to the NFL" moment last season, picking off Darnold's first NFL pass and returning it for a touchdown. Diggs has six interceptions in his five-year career. Chris explains during the interview that what makes this trade a steal for the Seahawks is that they're getting a player far beyond the caliber of most 5th round draft picks and he's under contract for the remainder of 2019 as well as the next two seasons.
