I love this podcast, I really do. But sometimes I find that Kayla ALWAYS brings the conversation back to her and her experiences. It’s a little off putting.

I’ve recently gotten into podcast after listening to the KFS podcast and BlackGirlsHeal and now on my way to work instead of listening to music I’m riding down lakeshore drive and I’m listening to this podcast laughing and agreeing because SAME ! This episode really resonated with me. I was playing the victim for a very long time, due to my last toxic relationship, but what Iyanna said about her toxic relationship hit HARD. I didn’t validate my partner, I didn’t communicate, I shut down and put every wall up and thought that was ok!!! I truly felt like my partner was in the wrong for accusing me of shutting him out, or making me feel like I’m the villain. When in reality, I was the problem. I wasn’t acting immature and hurt him. I’ve grown a lot, but oof. She put it into perspective perfectly. Thank you for speaking your truths!🙌🏽✨🖤
