Recently I spoke with with my sister Leanne Tomlinson about breast cancer and the process she has gone through from noticing a lump in her breast to her diagnosis, how the information was delivered and the plans for treatment heading into the future. There is a strong message here about checking yourself regularly for imperfections, and speaking to a doctor about any concerns as soon as possible. Breast cancer can exist in both men and women so please, check yourself and get any abnormalities looked at by a professional. You can find Leanne and follow her journey on Instagram @tomlinson.Leanne and tik tok @leannetomlinson7 (Disclaimer: there is laughter and jokes in this episode which are not meant to downplay or make light of anybody’s situation, as a family we deal with uncomfortable situations and bad news with humour) As a reminder please, if you have any concerns with abnormalities you may find on your body, go and see your GP without hesitation. Information about checking your breasts can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/womens-health/how-should-i-check-my-breasts/ and for the boys, information about checking your testicles can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/mens-health/what-should-my-testicles-look-and-feel-like/
