Chipbedrijf Nexperia was al jaren in Chinese handen, maar in het najaar van 2025 greep Economische Zaken opeens in bij de chipmaker uit angst dat er ‘kennis, kunde en capaciteit’naar China weglekte. Een dag later schorste de Ondernemingskamer de Chinese topman en eigenaar ‘Mr Wing’. China sloeg hard terug met exportrestricties, wat zorgde voor chaos en paniek bij de wereldwijde auto-industrie die plots zonder essentiële chips kwam te zitten.Waarom was dit nodig?
