Great discussion of a fun genre
So glad to find a podcast that focuses on one of my favorite types of movies to watch. I love all the talk about archetypes, the comparisons to other films in the genre, and the deep-dive analysis. I struggled a bit with the accents at first, but now that I’m used to them, I’m really enjoying binging the back catalog.

Really enjoy the podcasts
I really have been enjoying all the podcasts you guys put up. I really like the thorough analysis as well as the banter. Really like your choices of movies to review as well.

Better than most movie pods
I kind of wish they expanded their genres, because I would take their podcast over probably 8 out of 10 I’ve listened to. No corny humor (for that alone it deserves 5 stars), good information, they don’t really talk over one another, and overall just a mature show. I’m only giving it 4 stars because I’m only a fan of a few movies in this genre, so it’s not the best fit for me. But compared to the other trash I’ve explored in the world of movie review podcasts, this one is absolutely a great fit for what I’m looking for in regards to style.

Love Paul but Wish There Was Another Female Voice on the Show…
For the most part I love the podcast and especially the genre, but Amelie frustrates me as the only female voice on the podcast. All of them (with the exception of Paul) routinely look at these movies with the politics correctness lens of today rather than try to see the movie as it fit into the era in which it was made. I was actually yelling back at the podcast during “The Big Easy” episode when Amelie insisted that Ellen Barkin’s character was forced into the sex that took place in the scene that widely regarded to be one of the hottest on film. I think the podcast could improve if many of the hosts realized that a hallmark of the erotic thriller/film noir genre is often that one of the characters is dealing with a “moral dilemma” when it comes to the “erotic” part of the plot and that sometimes gets played as needing to be a bit coerced into the sexual relationship; when it’s the female character in that scenario, it doesn’t automatically mean that it’s a “MeToo” moment. What’s more, unless they’re going to tweak the angle of the podcast, I’d rather they judge the podcast by the tropes of the erotic thriller genre rather than injecting modern day wokeness.

Hunger for Erotic Thrillers Satisfied
Fatal Attractions was a recent podcast discovery and I'm totally hooked. As a someone who loves film and especially enjoys erotic thrillers, it's been an absolute pleasure to dig in and binge listen to this fine group of co-hosts provide insightful analysis, honest criticism, and engaging discussion on these genre films.

Hot and heavy, a joy!
I love Fatal Attractions! Excellent hosts, great (and not-so-great) films, but every episode is as enjoyable as the last. I always look forward to each new episode to hear what the hosts have to say, and hope they never run out films to discuss.

Great Podcast
I really enjoy listening to the hosts’ personal interpretations of the plots- this podcast has also introduced me to movies that I had never seen. My only criticism is that I wish they’d get a different female host- their present one makes her every comment about herself, and has the most annoying voice. Otherwise very entertaining!

A fun, sexy trip down memory lane
I came upon this podcast randomly on Twitter and listened to a couple of episodes and I’m hooked! The four hosts work well together, everyone has interesting points of view, and they love these movies while never shying away from insightful criticism.

A treat for cinephiles
I found this podcast looking for a discussion on 9 1/2 Weeks. I’ve listened to that and a bunch of other episodes. Erotic thrillers can seem like a niche genre, but if you’re a film lover, you’ll definitely find the conversations here worth tuning in to. One of the hosts is a woman, so the conversation isn’t completely male-dominated. The hosts have pointed out things, such as acting and camera angles, that make me want to do a re-watch for some movies. I also have to give this pod props for calling out the ridiculous standards in Hollywood where women over the age of 35 become invisible.

Love this podcast
As a bit of a movie nerd I love movie podcasts and have a soft spot for erotic thrillers, so that’s why I checked it out in the first place. The reason why I subscribed (and why it’s the first podcast I’ve bothered to leave a review for) is that there is something unique about it that makes it stand out for me.
The group has great chemistry and I appreciate tone of their banter; they are respectful of one another as well as the subject matter. I also enjoy the variety in the quality of the films they cover, inasmuch as they delve into both the high and the low brow.
I also feel like each of the hosts bring something different to the table, and I like that it seems like they are having fun with it.

Excellent!
I initially downloaded due to my adoration of this very niche category of film (mostly 90’s erotic thrillers), which tends to get neglected in many 80’s/90’s podcasts. However, I would continue to listen even if they ventured to other categories, as the group is very fun, insightful, and mindful of the audience. Good balance of film knowledge, variety of opinions, and humor.

Great podcast!
I absorbed so many of these erotic thrillers in the 1990s, so it was really a pleasure to discover this podcast. All four commentators are having fun remembering what they loved about these films as well as why so many of them were problematic. They give intelligent and funny assessments of each, while giving listeners an insight into what makes these films work and what makes them sometimes fail. A total pleasure!

Great job reviewing 80s and 90s erotic thrillers. I enjoy rewatching and even discovering movies from that time and listening to their discussions. Keep up the good work.
