Come chat with me and one of my besties T'liza Kiel about postpartum mental health, how childhood trauma can impact how we operate present day, and parenting from a place of love instead of frustration. She is raising two amazing kids with boundaries and the freedom to be themselves. I love that T’Liza shares that you don’t always have to enjoy motherhood! Whew! I love her vulnerability and willingness to share her heart. She shares about how she’s had to let go of proving herself in different spaces and instead standing firm in knowing she is worthy. 23. Loving Past Versions of You
I'm sharing my real time healing practice of honoring past versions of myself, and how some of those past versions no longer serve me, but I love them anyway.  I walk through thanking myself for my past self, how I stepped up and showed up on even my darkest days, and how I made the decision that I wouldn't settle for where I was at.  Intimacy with yourself is so important in order to fully heal and evolve into the best present version of you.  The impact of conversations you have with yourself can serve as a cornerstone to your self-evolution, self-love, and self-respect.  During this episode I specifically touch on honoring who I was during the first few years of motherhood as well as how some of the smallest micro shifts in our daily lives can have an exponential impact on who we become.  Enjoy! Jocey is so illuminating. I want to be around her anytime I can and just soak up her magnetic energy.  She is the host of the Make Life Fun Podcast that provides a space for Mamas to shine, thrive, and become the absolute best version of themselves. She is also a success and embodiment coach and a breath of fresh air.  On this episode she shares how she realized how critical and transformational the stories and thoughts she tells herself had the power to shift her whole life and state of being.  She explains exactly how she aligned to her purpose and calling and now coaches women and mamas on how to do the same.  She shares how she comes back to her true soul's essence by remembering she gets to chose her state of being and remembering she is a child of God.  Jocey beautifully articulates how her transformation has had a ripple effect on those around her. This healing episode is so so good y’all. My amazing friend Nena vulnerably shares her journey of infertility, pregnancy loss, healing, postpartum anxiety, and listening when God gave her the download to start her own business Brown Baking x3 which hosts baking classes for kids while also giving parents a much needed break. These are 1 degree shifts that we can’t underestimate. We also dive into what made her reach out to the support of a therapist and how transformative its been for her. We also talk through how the pandemic changed us and how therapy can support the human transformation pre-pandemic to the present version of ourselves  Nena also shares about pushing past the fear of starting her own business with 3 small kids, being a wife and having a full time job, and listening to her divine calling which turned out to be so aligned with her calling. 18. Bosses Reset
Sooo I wasn't planning on a reset and break from the podcast, but it was needed.  As someone with lots of enthusiasm, ambition, unlimited dreams, and a full plate I can sometimes over do it which leaves me feeling disconnected to my work. This podcast is my baby and my mission is to use it as avenue to provide a container that allows you to feel seen, worthy of carrying out your divine calling, and equipping you with practical tools to be your best self. This episode provides some context on why I needed a reset and what I'm going to modify going forward so I can keep showing up in my authentic energy.  Glad to be back and I hope this episode inspires you to evaluate any areas of your life that need a reset.  Whether its better work life balance, your health and fitness, your finances, relationships, or motherhood approach.  See you back here next week! 16. How I Breastfed Both My Kids for 15 Months
I was so determined to breastfeed my babies. There was something so pure, sacred, and perfect about it in addition to all of the science that supports how beneficial it is for our littles. I was able to exclusively breastfeed my two kids through their first year of life. I introduced solids between 4-6 months, but the only milk they got was my breastmilk until they were about 12-15 months old when I started transitioning them to cow and nut milks. I wanted to share some of the most important advice that helped me accomplish this goal I was so proud of. It takes a lot of work, education, and dedication but it’s so worth it in the end. We discuss knowing early hunger signs, building a milk supply and DMER which is a mental health issue associated with milk let downs. You got this Mama! We also discuss that it’s more than ok to supplement or formula feed if that’s what works best for you and your family.  Link to the haaka: https://www.amazon.com/Haakaa-Silicone-Breastfeeding-Manual-Phthalate/dp/B01F8W7CF0 Link to DMER info: https://www.motherlove.com/blogs/all/what-to-know-about-dmer-or-dysphoric-milk-ejection-reflex Connect with me: Instagram: www.instagram.com/stacymichellemccray Blog: www.stacymichellemccray.com Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/45988431532959
