Terrible
Terrible from start to finish - each episode. Terrible hosts, terrible guests, boring pace and boring stories.
DocYoc
Um Nooo.
Phelps ruins this show and he has ruined his own reputation by being a complete liar. He will say anything about anyone as long as they pay him. He was caught saying he only cares about making money period. The poor families he has lied about should sue him.

Go Phelps yourself
Phelps is a modern day snake oil salesman and a narcissist. Terrible person with a hidden agenda.

Horrible
Host one and host two are atrocious. They are not podcasters. Canceling my Tenderfoot subscription.

Love these Sisters! Love this show!
I love that Yvette and Rasha are changing the game of True Crime, and shining a light on the darkness. It’s literally True Crime with HEART! Thank you for making such a positive difference in the world, and taking us along on this journey with you!

Couldn't Deal
I've listened to a couple of episodes and the relentlessly perky narration is such a turn off. THIS IS A CRIME SHOW. Context is EVERYTHING. Giggling and perkiness strikes such the wrong tone, unless that's what you are going for? It would work for a cooking show or a show about, hair, or something. But murder? Don't act like you are just waiting to shove in a joke. I deleted all the episodes I had downloaded. Too many out there to bother with halfassery.

Love Podcast, Hate Ads
This is such a good show! Too bad there are so many ad breaks, especially given that most of the podcast episodes don’t top 30-ish minutes to begin with.

Aphrodite Jones
Love the podcast, but having Aphrodite Jones on was a huge mistake. She made a few really gross comments that I just can’t get past. Her talking about how she didn’t care that the other author was working with Shanda’s family because “So? I’m writing about the girls.” She implied that Shanda was the lesser element of the case and her murderers were more important. The victim should always be central to the case. It’s about THEM, after all, or that’s the way it should be. Also her comment about “Don’t tell a man you’ve been hit, because then they will hit you” was extremely sexist and disgusting. Sexism works both ways, and it’s just as wrong to generalize men the way women are generalized

Wasn’t the episode supposed to be about Brandon Teena?
I just listened to the most recent ep and im so disappointed. The majority of the show was about Donna Minkowitz, her work and her feelings. It’s painfully ironic that the show talked about Donna being so sorry for not representing the trans community and Brandon well in the 90’s but I can’t say that you’re doing much better now. I’m all about growth and insight and trying to be a better person than you were yesterday but this episode totally missed the mark. This episode is supposed to be about Brandon Teena but it’s about Donna Minkowitz apologizing for being a bad ally. Cis/white queer people really need to stop centering themselves and their feelings in marginalized peoples’ narrative. It’s exhausting. I’m my opinion, Donna Minkowitz continues to be a bad ally. Don’t make this story about you.

Excellent podcast
I love the way the podcast is presented with telling of the story and discussion following. It has quickly become one of my favorite!

Great Podcast
First started listen to Radha and Yvette on their Root of Evil podcast. They’re amazing host and I love the coverage they give to stories that don’t get nearly enough attention.

Finds the hope and light within dark crimes
I love your podcast. So many of the crimes you cover have been highlighted in the news, documentaries, books and other podcasts and yet your lens of hope, justice and centering the ones harmed and their families is so beautiful. I appreciate your analysis and how you connect these individual crimes to a broader system that often sensationalizes the perpetrator vs lifting up the survivors and victims, especially if the victims are from marginalized communities.

Favorable
Though this is not my favorite podcast, I feel as though,‘it’s growing pains. They’ve talked how they are working through issues and will add new materials to the episodes soon, but I like the hosts and think the format is well worked.

BEST SISTER CONVERSATIONS‼️
LOVE LISTENING TO THESE SISTERS THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT TIMING AND PERSONALITIES…. GIVE ME MORE!!!

Annoying
Stories are great, but it’s the worst show Tenderfoot TV has. Trevor should go solo. One feels the need to announce her sexuality and they think discussing proper pronouns on a Facing Evil podcast is necessary. Keep your views on a separate podcast please and you’ll see the ratings go up.
Creature of HabyT
Meh
I listened to the Jon Benet Ramsey episodes, and I couldn’t shake the thought that the presentation and “analysis” of the case was rather superficial.
DBC1891
Just ehh
The constant laughing is plain disrespectful to the victim and the victim’s family and friends. They don’t discuss any new or unheard of cases, only well known ones. Also, stop it with the political and woke jargon throughout. For example: Pregnant person? Like what in the actual world? Only women can get pregnant. Just stop it. Also, one of the hosts never misses an opportunity to tell the listener that she is a lesbian. I don’t care about your sexual preferences, it’s your business so enough. why is it mentioned in every single episode? Just plain irrelevant!

Amazing podcast
This podcast is great! I don’t like scary podcasts or movies but I love this podcast because they don’t just talk about the bad things they always have a way to bring the light into every story. I would recommend this to teenagers and adults because I am only 17 but it is great for me to listen to, so please listen to this amazing podcast.

Right? Am I right? Right?
This podcast is so smart, & the podcasters have great chemistry, but they use the word RIGHT the way my parents complained about the word LIKE…. I soooo want to be able to keep listening but I can’t unhear this. Please please please, this is just something that you have fallen into and please nip it in the bud because I want to keep feeling the 5 star vibe. You are all great. Right???

Great podcast
This podcast is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Yvette and Rasha are sisters and come across so loving in their presentation of these sensitive stories. Trevor makes a great addition as co-host and has the most soothing voice. All 3 demonstrate upmost compassion and I love the Hawaiian roots they share with their audience. Great podcast

Irritated
So much potential but I get irritated about how many times host has to announce she’s a lesbian. Listen I don’t care about anyone’s sexuality. I don’t care if you’re man or woman or sleep with men or women. I’m trying to listen to a crime pod not a sexuality announcement. The research is great and I don’t have any other problems with the show other than the sexuality talk. Thanks.
I’m gonna say it
Amazing podcast!
I love these incredible hosts and the work they’re doing! A must listen.

Psychotic vs. Psychopath
Bardo is not a psychopath. He’s psychotic. There’s a huge difference between the two. Psychosis is a mental illness characterized by being out of touch with reality and living in a delusional world of his ill brain’s invention. The sufferer really believes that his own delusional version of reality is the truth. Psychopathy, on the other hand, is not a mental illness. It is a personality disorder, which is named by the American Psychiatric Association in its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual as “antisocial personality disorder”. The so-called psychopath (a layman’s term), on the other hand, is not out of touch with reality. He knows exactly what is going on in the real world. His pathology is that he lacks conscience and empathy. He only cares about getting what he wants, and has no problem with hurting other people in order to get it. In some cases, what he wants is TO hurt people its own sake, for the sadistic pleasure of it. Bardo is the former, not the latter. Yours for the promulgation of facts (not misinformation), Gretchen B.

Why am I paying and hearing ads?
Podcast is hit or miss each week, but a bigger issue… I’m a tenderfoot tv subscriber using the subscriber addition to listen. I’m still hearing ads. A lot of them. On most episodes, but some are ad free. CAN Y’ALL FIX THIS THANKS
ChoMyGod
No longer listening
I enjoyed this show up until they needed to get into gender pronouns and it was a total turn off for me. True crime is great and don’t see the need to affirm gender pronouns on the show.

Trevor go solo!!
I would listen to a podcast that was hosted by Trevor. I’m not sure why I’ve given this one as much time as I have. Sensitive topics aren’t handled well, there are several instances of inappropriate laughing, and just generally the cases aren’t covered as well as other true crime podcasts. I enjoyed Root of Evil but this just hasn’t been a good spin off.

I agree, this is hard
I like these women and what they represent in putting positivity out there- however, they are in need of some more help and healing themselves- self reflection needed? For positive women they are often very critical of women? So disappointed with that. The episode about the teen held responsible for another teen’s suicide and how negative and judgemental they were toward an obviously troubled young woman, was a breaking point for me that turned me off to them. Then they decided to cover Jon Benet, oh boy- but had to listen to that. Agree -Trevor is great and he should continue on his own podcast and seems to have true empathy.

Awesome
I started off listening to the Root of Evil and it was so good. I’ve actually listened to it a few times and then I found out a week ago that they had this podcast I got so excited and I’m already caught up on it. I can’t wait for the next episode. Thank y’all for what you do and know y’all have a big fan in Alabama

The flawed Laci Peterson episode.
I was kind of excited to find a potentially new true crime show. But the host’s fundamental misunderstanding of the fact that circumstantial evidence is evidence made the episode impossible to listen to. The trial was not “trial by media” the body of the evidence pointed squarely at Peterson. Their take on the Peterson case did not cast new light on the tragic case. It simply revictimized the family by offering a hypothesis that doesn’t fit the known facts.

Sorry
I couldn’t even listen beyond the initial advertisement. I’m sure this podcast has talent, but right away the voice and subject matter spell agenda.

Okay cool, so you're a lesbian.
The potential is here for great true crime stories. Unfortunately the stories are presented like they're ready to run in US magazine. Also, the host that can't stop talking about being a lesbian is juvenile and embarrassing. If it pertained to the content in some relevant way then it makes sense but really it comes off as a plea for attention. Gave this podcast as many chances as I could tolerate but in the end it's just not worth it.

Trevor is the man
I actually really like the subject matter of this podcast and Trevor is great with his facts and storytelling as well as his subjectiveness and honesty when it comes to rumors online and what not. But I had to take 2 stars off because the 2 hosts of the show are honestly terrible. They add nothing to any episode and talk about their self way too much that was fine on Root of Evil but this other peoples stories now. They also laugh a lot which feels really weird on a podcast of this subject matter. Trevor if you’re reading this I encourage you to go solo and make your own podcast. I would definitely give it a listen.

Go woke go broke
You had me until the Laci Peterson episode where it was stated by one of the hosts that something should’ve been changed to “birthing person”. No thanks. Only biological women give birth.

Woke
Too focused on being woke.
Ratchet76
Too woke and too leftist
I tried to enjoy this podcast but couldn’t stand the constant political nonsense, incessant giggling and the nauseating sound of “Haaawaaayeeeee” fir Hawaii. The only one on the podcast I enjoyed listening to was the guy. He is professional & has sticks to the story.

A Disappointment
Root of Evil, for me, was mind blowing. You can imagine, I was so excited to stumble onto this podcast. You cannot imagine my disappointment after listening to the first episode. Tried to stay with it, but I just can’t. Inappropriate giggling, political nonsense, etc., make it so I just can’t even. People who give birth are women, Mothers. Don’t confuse it.

Take a listen
I really enjoy the way the hosts of the show present and interact. It’s not perfect but what is? It’s worth a listen.

Care for the victims
I love the care that this podcast takes for victims and their family. I so appreciate the perspectives of all three on their shared experiences and their empathy for trauma.

“Right?”
Very much a fan of true crime and historical events. But the awkward giggling at certain things and incessant use of “right?” became too much.

Average
Average-quality content with too frequent mentions that “I’m a lesbian, so I can confirm that…”

Love these podcasts and stories
Listened to ROOT OF EVIL and am STILL thinking about it and hearing their stories weeks late. I just started listening to these and so far I love them. They’re great! I do wish Rasha didn’t laugh all the time in an attempt to make light of what she’s saying when what she’s saying isn’t at all funny or light.
jil hipsley
Politics or true crime?
VERY surface level coverage of the same true crime stories you’ve heard 100 times before and probably better done than on this podcast. And yes there are a lot of political opinions intertwined. You can find many better shows in my opinion.
Britknee00
Amazing!!!
I love listening to you guys. Made my day BOOK’EM DANO 🏝🌺5-0. Definitely worth your time.
Rebecka112252
Really disappointed
Read through the episode titles to get a glimpse of the ever present, never yielding political agenda. Not the quality I’ve come to expect from Tenderfoot.
JaMarcus W.
Hard pass
Lots of nonsense chit chat and barely anything about the case. Also their political opinions don’t really need to be included on a crime podcast 🤷🏼‍♀️
