Research based practical strategies
Sari, Danielle, and their guests do a great job using research to give teachers strategies that they can use in their classrooms today. The length of the podcast makes it very consumable. For busy teachers who don’t have the time to read cutting-edge research themselves, this podcast is perfect to get that research distilled down into tips that they could implement into their practices immediately. Highly recommend.

Out of the ivory tower
Oh boy, the education field is bursting with acronyms, arcane terminology, and neologisms. (This isn’t unique, of course, to education.) I appreciate that the hosts breakdown complex topics and give you ideas about what they actually mean for real world use. The updates about studies are also helpful—particularly if you're time strapped and don't get to read all the new stuff yourself.

Excellent daily tips, tricks and inspiration
What an inspiring and educational podcast to tune into daily. Sari and Danielle do a wonderful job at focusing on one topic of discussion in each episode while bringing in real life educators for tips, tricks and helpful advice for your classroom. Hearing from real educators, and Sari who was an educator herself provides comfort in knowing their experiences and advice are achievable. They ask the questions us educators are thinking or some that we haven’t thought us. It’s the perfect length of time to listen on the go!

Don’t bother
Teachers deserve to be celebrated and valued however hearing it from a company who profits off high stakes testing is difficult. These CA teachers often block people on social media who dare to question their methods or suggest alternative ideas. Students deserve to be valued more than what CA promotes here with the episodes on “buying in” and external rewards. Families deserve more access to the personal data CA collects.

A Good Start
Definitely a good start. I’m looking forward to more. I did expect to hear more about how to set high expectations rather than the research behind having high expectations. I’m sure there is more good to come, maybe not on a weekly basis as stated though?
