A husband, a dad, college professor, runner, a nobody. This audio blog is a deep dive into my life as a middle-to-back-of-the-pack runner who discovered a renewed sense of self. Through running, I found sobriety, purpose, and a sense of identity that I hadn’t known before.This isn’t about medals or records—well, maybe a little—but I’m far from an elite athlete. Instead, it’s about the personal victories and the intense stories that unfold with each step on the trail to recovery and self-discovery. All the stories are taken directly from, or adapted from my journals and are as true to my memory as possible.
