I agree with all the other reviewers, and especially the one who pointed out that it sounds as if the Big Bang laugh track is the fourth member of the cast. Also google Alastair and you won’t subscribe.

Smart group of comic/movie nerds that help me enjoy these movies even more than I did before. It would be great if the comic review episodes had book numbers in the show notes. I’ve found some of the books on marvel unlimited but I’m not sure how many I need to read to avoid spoilers. Great pod!

After enjoying so many of Alistair's other work, this is a disappointment. He's great, but Sarah's inability to NOT continual interrupt or force-laugh at the top of her lungs directly into the microphone ruins everything that the other two hosts are doing. How hard is it to wait your turn to talk or not scream everything. I was SO looking forward to hearing Alistair's take on Infinity War and this was crap. I'm going to try a coupler of other episodes, but I fear I know what I'm getting. This would be a 5-Star review if not for the constant interruptions and shrieking. Sad.

Sarah, Vinton, And Alastair have are fun to listen to and offer wonderful recs for comics and movies alike. I hadn’t read a comic book in years and read Ms. Marvel because it sounded so good. Trust them when they say it is worth your time.

Excelsior is my favorite podcast! I listen every morning as I get ready and it’s the perfect way to start the day. They have introduced me to so many comics I wouldn’t have normally read and I’m really enjoying rewatching for the Road to Infinity War! I love their energy and Sarah’s laugh is the BEST.

I enjoy most of the episodes on this podcast. The commentary tracks are...dicey. The IM3 commentary track included: discussions of Alasters (sp?) new phone, his birthday party, the publishing history of Peter Pan and repeated discussions of how much they don't want to be watching this movie and how they are dreading watching the next movie. Then...don't watch them? If I knew of a different Road to Infinity War podcast, I'd probably drop the commentary episodes from this all together. When they are done well, each person has valuable things to say and they can have a good, meaningful conversation. But the commentary tracks, when they aren't prepared, are like often very very difficult to get through.

Whenever a new episode of Excelsior drops, I put all my other podcasts aside to listen to it right away! Sarah, Alastair and Vinton are just delightful to listen to and have great chemistry together. What I like most about the show is that it doesn't talk down to people who have come to enjoy superheroes through the movies and not the comics, for example, and every episode feels really inclusive and embracing of all kinds of fan. Excelsior was what encouraged me to start reading comics, and I've discovered so many things through this podcast. Thanks, guys - may the Hawkeye and Howard the Duck references long live on!

What a phenomenal, energetic and fun podcast! Today i listened to the Steven Universe episode on a day when I’d been crying a lot and it lifted my spirits to the point where I sung along with Giant Woman at the end - thanks guys, a little ray of sunshine on a very sad day!

...Could be great. Nice selection of topics covering a wide range of comics and related shows and movies.The raucous laughter could be toned down a bit. It’s like the Big Bang Theory laugh track is the fourth member of the podcast sometimes. I’m pretty neutral politically so the obvious left veering stance by the hosts can be distracting and unnecessary at times, but I get it. Its a mad mad world. A little more balance there would be better. A Stark to balance out the Rogers maybe? That being said they’re passionate, knowledgeable, detailed and that keeps me coming back. I’m a comic reader of 40 plus years so I appreciate the commitment and enjoyment of the art form. Excelsior!

This podcast is funny and informative about the topics and subjects they discuss, my only gripe is that I wish they would widen the range of comics and movies they choose to do episodes on. It's mostly all Marvel related and honestly should be just an MCU podcast.

So I don't read comics because my eyesight is terrible and I lose so much of the story and the point of comics without that visual component. Luckily these folks will walk me through a series, describibng the scenes while reading some of the comic out loud so I get a real sense of what's happening in each story. They have such love for the artform that I really appreciate. That said, they are not afriad to point out the flaws in the things they love, giiing a fuller review than if they just gushed love all over things. I love their playful dynamic and Vinton's "VHS synopsis."

But I love the movies and I love listening to Alastair, Sarah and Vinton even when they talk about a comic I've never read. Tell me more....

For those who love comics vehemently and unabashedly this podcast is for you. If you're looking for recommendations and/or don't already love comics I'm not sure if this should be your starting point. Vinton, Sarah and Alastair clearly love each other and are having a ton of fun recording this podcast. They nerd out and get really excited but the tiny things that people who aren't comic fans would probably miss. Sarah's love for Scarlet Witch is absolutely delightful and Alastair and Vinton constantly confirming the fact that comic history is convoluted keeps me laughing and smiling throughout my day. The only thing that I have a slight problem with is that the intro music is extremely loud compared to the actual show. I have to turn it way down and then turn it up after the intro ends. Other than that, I constantly look forward to this podcast every week!

Delightful! Excelsior is where smart nerds come to love the things they love with unbridled passion and intellectual rigor, not to mention the refreshingly progressive social perspective. I want to fast forward time so I can listen to 100 episodes in a row!

Loving the new show! I haven't listened yet to other Common Room shows, I followed Alastair over. I like the diverse topics with comics and tv/movies. Keep it up!!

Of the many nerd podcasts I listen to, this is my new favorite. I'm always bummed when I'm done listening, because I know I have to wait for a new one. Alistair Stephens can, and does, carry a whole podcast by himself. However, I was pleasantly surprised to the rest of the crew just as enjoyable.

The thing about the Red Skull, though, is that he's just a 21st-century capitalist living in 1940s. "There are always more workers." "I've seen the future and there are no flags." The antagonist isn't just the antagonist, right? It's the future. It's us. Gr8 show tho 5/5 strs

I followed Vinton here from his other comics podcast (Read Brave: Comics). This is another great podcast on comics. Glad to hear these three take the time to break things down and talk about what they love.
