Thank you for tuning in to the 33rd Episode of Evolving Mindset Mental Health Podcast. In this weeks episode, Host Phil was joined by guest Jake Mills, CEO of Chase the Stigma and founder of the Hub of Hope. Jake describes a lack of mental health support he had in past which escalated to an attempt on his life. After that he started sharing his feelings with others via well-known platform Twitter, which caused a big response boom from both his friends and strangers, who felt the same. This was followed by even bigger awareness of what he had experienced when he was invited to an interview by Guardian after which some celebrities started sharing his story. All of this made Jake to build a mental health network for anyone experiencing mental and emotional distress, which became the UK’s leading mental health support database. Phil and Jake also discuss the changes in mental health approach with different generations and how being honest when talking about your mental health makes you stronger rather than anything else.
