Well, well, well… talk about a long time coming. This is my gift to you after so many months apart: a pre-recorded podcast episode with Ava’s best friend Jackie Tierney circa July 2021. In this episode, we break down a recent trip to Provincetown, MA aka the coolest place on Earth. Stories are shared of previous trips Jackie and Ava have taken to P-Town but the big drama involves how the two best friends were recruited to take down a marriage. Ava has been busy and not sleeping; a killer combo going into the month of March. One of the things occupying her schedule is submitting applications & looking for future jobs and internships. Take a walk down memory lane with Ava as she reminisces on her past job experience, from her first lifeguarding gig to her bizarre cleaning role in high school. She opens up about her nerves with starting a new job and how she goes about looking for a new position. Ava also talks about how she is starting to look at internships and her current approach to entering into the professional world.

On her tenth podcast episode, Ava reflects on body confidence; something she has always struggled with but has recently explored in coming to terms with loving herself (inside and out). She reflects on her past struggles, the moments that changed her forever, and the slow journey to feeling comfortable in her own skin. Happy Tuesday everyone! Ava is back in action, reporting live from a new location: her dorm room. In a turn of events, Ava has RETURNED TO CAMPUS and is readjusting to college life but in a pandemic world. This episode is all about COVID-19 and how she has seen the virus impact aspects of college life. She tells of her quarantine experience and how she has adapted to this new era of in-person learning while highlighting the realities of being mindful in this new environment. 

She’s back and better than before! The radio silence is OVER as Ava bids farewell to 2020 and ushers in the 2021 with a big proclamation: resolutions are overrated. After a quick catch-up of her life, Ava discusses why she thinks the idea of a resolution is cliche and how she approaches her goals for the new year with a different mindset. Listen in as she talks all things mood boards, following through with goals, and how she plans to make 2021 her year.  

Where’s Ava been? Honestly, (mentally) everywhere. Open and honest, Ava gives an update to how she has been during these bizarre times as she grapples with remote learning as the months go on. But do not worry, she offers exciting stories and insights to make up for her absence and sad tales. She recently took a trip to see a psychic and discusses how she was introduced to these types of readings. Deceased relatives, obscure signs, and old flames were all part of her psychic reading. After months of back and forth, TikTok is here to stay (for now). Before the social media app is threatened to be banned (again), Ava talks about her experience with TikTok. What started out as a disinterest in downloading the app turned into Ava’s 15 minutes of fame which then became a total addiction to the minute length videos. She acknowledges the good and ugly parts of TikTok that have made the app a 2020 must-have. Be prepared for backstories, a fangirl moment involving a Bachelor contestant, and name-dropping verified creators in the longest podcast episode to date. Current Cause: This past week, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away due to complications with metastatic pancreas cancer. She had served on the court since 1983 on the liberal wing, passing progressive votes on issues such as abortion rights, same-sex marriage, and immigration. Happy September everyone! After a busy week, Ava is back and FINALLY talking about something other than herself: the importance of voting. This topic comes on her home state’s Primary Voting day. Before she hits the polls, Ava breakdowns some historical facts of voting and why you should vote. On top of that, she gives her tips on how to approach voting for the first time and what to look for in a political candidate. As the summer comes to an end and her sophomore year comes close, Ava looks back at her freshman year of college. A 1 am podcast recording focuses on the good, the bad, and the bizarre while she gives her best tips & tricks to surviving college. Though this upcoming school year is looking a lot different for millions of Americans, she gives advice for remote and in-person learning and how to crush this new semester despite all that continues to go on in the world. Current Cause: Across the world, the island nation of Mauritius is suffering an environmental emergency from an oil spill on their country’s coast, which impacts not only the wildlife but the tourism & fishing that the country relies on. At home, the USPS is facing cuts from their budget and the removal of necessary processing machines ahead of the election in November.
