Timely Word
It’s November 2021 and I just finished hosting an intimate spiritual retreat for women. I tend to feel like I limp over the finish line, but this year, due to a long season of illness, I was limping before I even got to the starting line. In listening to the last episode from December 2020, God was faithful to meet me right where I am. I ended the retreat realizing the betrayal of a longtime friend last year has been robbing me of joy and causing me to guard my heart against the Father in fear, rather than with Him in faith. This episode challenged my perspective, causing me to reframe that sense of loss with gratitude for those who have stayed. And the reminder that I’m did the best I could under several difficult circumstances, pressing on and pouring myself out anyway. Such a timely word (on God’s timetable for my life). Thank you Kelly!

Words directly to my soul
Kelly is speaking every one of the words my heart has wrestled with and the Truth that I have clung to after being thrown into grief with the loss of my 2 babies. Kelly, you have honored Imogen so beautifully in this podcast. Thank you for your obedience and for speaking the words that we all need to hear. I am sharing this podcast far and wide! I’ve told many people, if I could create the perfect podcast for my heart, it would be exactly this. Kelly speaks it far more eloquently and beautifully than I ever could.

Heart connect
I find now that my people are the warriors whose lives have shifted under them and they have CHOSEN to keep going. This is the stuff of legends. These are heroes. The people who have been given heavy things and who have CHOSEN with God’s help to carry them. People who have lost a child (like me). People who parent a child who is not what they expected (like me). People who have been given miracle after amazing miracle (like me). People who still struggle (like me). You don’t know how strong you are, how strong God is, until you are tested. I works the go back to shallow waters, but boy am I glad I’m not alone out here in the deep! Keep up the great conversations!

Convicting and healing
This podcast has brought so much hope, faith and encouragement to me during this season of grief after losing my daughter at two days old. Kelly’s powerful words are both invigoratingly convicting, and soothingly healing. So so thankful for this podcast and I share it with everyone I know walking through a season of hurt!

New listener
I just started to listen to this podcast today. And I listened to the first message that popped up which was the last message for 2020. But everything Kelly stated about feeling exhausted and tired, needing to have love and compassion during the time of weakness felt extremely validating. Her description of her experience is genuine and raw. Sometimes we do really need to break down and just have someone hold us. Thank you for sharing your story 💜.

A gentle, honest compassionate witness to hurting souls
Kelly’s gracious words, honest confessions, and light-bearing vignettes reveal her deep grief interwoven with God’s deeper presence and love in that profoundly terrible place. This podcast is a soothing gift of truth and grace to those of us whose hearts have been trampled by unexpected, unwelcome life events and who need comforting support to move forward in healthy, faith-based ways. Kelly makes it safe to feel what I need to feel in my own grief, and she offers tender reminders of God’s unfailing love in my losses and all of the emotions that accompany them. She is a soft place to fall for those of us whose bruised hearts desperately need one. So grateful for her gifts of words, transparency, and hard-won Truth delivered from the very trenches of her broken heart. ❤️❤️❤️

Love it
Love that Kelly is so honest and vulnerable with her thoughts and struggles! She tells you up front she is sharing her story as she experiences it, not after the happy ending. A raw yet refreshing podcast!

Relatable & honest
I’m thankful for the words that Kelly speaks as she teaches in hard things, especially grieving and hopelessness. I love how she points us back over and over again to who God is and boldly declares truth... even if.

Helpful!
I had a stillborn daughter June 23, 2020 at 33 weeks gestation, a friend of mine sent me this podcast months after the loss. Saying “give this a listen, she lost a baby too”. The feelings toward God and emotions that are spoken about hit spot on what I’m going through and give me hope every day that there is a way to get through this. Thank you for putting your story out there!

Divine gift
I’m two years into my “even if” story, and so blessed to be encouraged in my faith by someone else bravely sharing their ”even if” story. This podcast is the perfect mix of personal testimony and outward encouragement.

When you’re waiting for the next blow!
Kelly-girl! Thanks for being “flexible” and tough enough to throw hard work away and give us ALL He shows you! Just what I needed.

Sooo good!
Wow. I didn’t intend to cry on the way home from the grocery store but your words carry so much to unpack. What a powerful story. I’ve only listened to ONE episode and now I’ve got to go back and start from the beginning. I know just bits and pieces of your story and though our paths are different, my heart has been through storms just has yours has. Your story of perseverance and resilience is beautiful. Thank you for this. Can’t wait to listen in to all your episodes!

Always exactly what I needed that day
Our stories are so very similar, we also lost our baby girl at 41 weeks in 2019 and this podcast has been the most helpful and inspiring... teaching me to lean into the storm with God on my side and to continue forward , everyday one day closer to eternity

Highly recommend!!
Kelly’s heart to share her story with raw vulnerability, in the midst of her suffering is refreshing and reminds me that we’re not alone in the struggles we face. Her voice and passion for God’s truth calls us to remember His goodness, even if our lives are crumbling. So thankful for her persistent hope in the Lord and how she encourages us to hold on to hope.

Encouraging and inspiring
I just experienced an “even if” through the loss of my dad to Stage IV Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. This show affirms that it’s ok to have joy again, to laugh again, and to live again, while also allowing for deepest moments of grief. If you’ve experienced sorrow, this is the podcast for you! ❤️

Thank You
My daughter was still born on May 11, 2020 and this podcast is helping me claw my way back to God, faith and life. Thank you so much for creating this podcast. You often say the very things on my heart.

Thank you for sharing words to live by
Another episode of wisdom that is from the heart and applicable to life’s challenges. Thank you, Kelly.
Episode 7- Real and relevant for anyone who is experiencing, or has experienced, grief. Kelly illuminates lessons about living now with a heart set on eternity.
Episode 14- How timely. I am working on a study of John and just read chapter 4. I came again to the verse in which Jesus proclaims that true worshipers will worship in spirit and in truth. Kelly has provided depth of meaning to that verse in her beautiful, biblical and challenging description of surrender- not merely coming to God with open hands but with the laying down of our lives. Thank you for your continued yes inspiration and podcasts which engage the mind and the heart.
Episode 15. What a beautiful and powerful perspective on worship- coming from the heart of someone who has practiced drawing upon worship as a weapon against evil and suffering. Thank you for including the song, Kelly. I love hearing you sing- another of the gifts God has given to you.

So needed!
I found this podcast through a friend. This podcast has wrecked and lifted me in the best ways possible. A small part of “our story”. One our girls was brain damaged through her birth and it has taken us on a life of hills and valleys and looking at the world through completely different glasses. Very uplifting and thought provoking words to keep guiding us all through grief- whatever it may look like ❤️

In the midst
Kelly spoke at my virtual camp this summer, and the way she delivered messages and the keen perspective she had made me want to hear her more. Naturally, I stalked her instagram and found out about her podcast. I love how real she is, how biblically based she is, and how she’s facing and sharing her circumstances as she walks through them, not from a everything-is-happy-now perspective. Definitely recommend.

A gem of a podcast!
Kelly’s voice is a much needed light in the dark of navigating loss, grief, and feeling oneself to be in the middle of a hard story. Her words are bible saturated and sensitive while being grounded in Truth and honesty. This podcast is a fabulous gem!

Oh my goodness 💜
My best friend sent me episode 5 and it literally blessed me. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 15 years without fruit of the womb at this time. During the past couple months, I am finding peace from the Father that says that not only am I fruitful with or without biological children, but God is still good and definitely able if He decides not to grant us fruit in that way. Moreover, His love for me never changes. May God bless you and continue to use you and your family to point people to Jesus and not just what He can do for us.

Jammed packed words of wisdom through Even IF
If you are looking for a powerful example of faith, you’ll find it here. If you need to be told the straight up truth, you’ll hear it here. Kelly shares her story with such raw emotion, you can’t help but feel the power of her words. There’s no way of unhearing her said words, EVEN IF I tried.

Thank you
Four months ago my oldest son and his wife held their 8 month old girl as she breathed her last breath. She had been delivered 3 months early as the only way she would make it. She spent 8 months fighting against terrible circumstances. Her mommy and daddy were there every moment, caring for her and praying for a miracle. Believing for God to grow her lungs, heal infections and answer questions doctors couldn’t answer. My daughter in law found your podcast. She let others know about it. I can see how your honesty through your loss and the decision to still claim God as good is a light in her darkness.
Thank you for putting words to the emotions, for sharing the hope God offers and for being real while doing so.

Timely & Encouraging, Never Belittling
Nothing could be more timely than a pocast that gently and encouragingly frames our theology around the goodness of God when our circumstances are nothing like what we want them to be. I'm a pediatric intensive care nurse, constantly navigating brokenness, hurt, and death alongside families. How, as a Christian, do I rightly reconcile suffering and hurt with God's goodness? I have loved how Kelly honestly and humbly leverages her own story for the sake of pointing us in the direction of hope. She doesn't belittle by quantifying pain or speaking empty cliches—I'm so grateful for her voice.

Solid Truth, Compelling Delivery
I’ve cringed for years when I hear other believers shout “God is good!” when something turns out in their favor. Kelly clearly voiced why that has bothered me in Even If It Feels Conditional-Why Our Language Matters. It’s a message I believe the Church needs to hear loud and clear. Kelly’s delivery is strong but kind, and she gives a biblical foundation for why we should be careful about the theology we build around what we say.

Authentic
Kelly’s gift for words has never been more appreciated. While we have ached for her and Peter over the death of sweet Imogen and all the losses associated with it, Kelly has risen up and been an encouragement in the midst of unimaginable pain. Her transparency through this journey has helped me heal through some of my own pain and I’m thankful for her willingness to share so authentically in the middle of the story. Whether you have experienced great tragedy or small losses, you will be touched and encouraged by her messages.

Amazing podcast from amazing people
Peter was the Best Man at my wedding and has continued to be my best man every day since. He and Kelly are incredible people, and this is a wonderful look into their lives and the tragedy that they have experienced. This isn’t fluffy; it isn’t cute; it is a real story of real people and real pain. If you have walked through grief, you need this podcast. If you are walking through grief, you need this podcast. If you haven’t (praise God) you STILL need this podcast!!!

Even If
I’ve know Kelly’s husband Peter since he was an infant. We lived on the same street for years. I was so happy when I heard he had found Kelly and they were getting married. Kelly has inspired me with her constant faith. She has a beautiful voice that is very comforting. She reminds me that he is always with us Even If we don’t always see him or feel him. She has taken her pain and chosen to help others . Kelly is a gift and everyone should listen to this podcast.

Full of Truth
I have admired Kelly for many years after meeting her while working at a summer camp during college. The Lord has gifted her with a way of delivering words directly to your heart! I have been blessed by her words on Instagram and am so excited for her new podcast. It is full of truth during heartache. When I experienced my own even if season of grief these were the words I was looking for. Words of hope but not ones that glossed over the pain I felt. If you are in a dark place know you are not alone; take a listen and be encouraged by Kelly’s journey to loving God, Even If!

Such a blessing!
I’ve never been much of a podcast listener but I absolutely love “Even If” and get excited when there is a new episode. We all have moments in life when we are desperate for God to intervene. Kelly helps me see that even in those moments when I question why something is happening, I have to trust that God’s plan is so much bigger than anything I could ever imagine. I highly recommend “Even If”!
