Today, I sit down with Matt to talk about what transition we are approaching in this season, if we're happy lately, what things lost have made us sad, and how we can better love one another as Valentine's Day comes up. As Matt shares his shift from an urgency mindset into an arguably "smoother" lifestyle, I'm curious for others out there who have had a long medical training journey or other arduous and time-consuming path. What happens when all of that is now complete? How have you transitioned into a more "normal" life?
I am excited for this year as I shine a light on TRANSITION with my guests and extend the invite to you as well! If you have a story to share, please email me at [email protected] so we can get it on the podcast. Let's move forward in resilience and joy together!
it is normal to feel down, tired,
and emotionally exhausted when
you are going through a big transition
especially when you have to let go
of something good for the chance
at something better
great changes are not meant to be easy;
they arise to inspire your growth

Three years ago, I launched this simple podcast that has undergone various facelifts, but I am so proud of where it’s come! To celebrate my MONUMENTAL 50th episode…I bring it back to the beginning and invite my OG crew, Won Hee Lee (9) and Dr. Matt Koller (9) onto the pod.
Won Hee and I reunite to interview Matt on this past year as an official practicing psychiatrist. Matt, or should I say Dr. Koller ;), shares what he has noticed in the mental health field, what simple advice he has for our listeners, and how his work has even affected his view of his own mental health.
We then shift gears as Won Hee and I also reflect on our own mental health journeys, our relationship with imposter syndrome and perfectionism, and how we navigate our identities as Asian Americans.
Listen in as we share our triggers in relationship to our Enneagram Types, how faith plays a foundational part for each of us, and simple goals we have for the coming year. We hope you celebrate Episode 50 with us and eunjoyyyyyy this episode!!

Skye's flight to Korea was TWENTY SEVEN hours. After recently coming back from my own Korea trip, my mind is blown realizing what a trek this must have been for her to travel SOLO with her two kids. Nonetheless, this super mama made it happen and created a memorable and unique trip for her kids, her parents, and herself. Listen in to hear what museums you should definitely check out with your little ones, what day trips are fun, and what it looks like to travel as an Enneagram 4 mama.

This is your sign to TAKE! THAT! TRIP! with your best chingoos. Life is short and the people you surround yourself with or actively make time to surround yourself with has such an impact on you as we get older. It was so fun sitting down with my sister and her friends, Shelly, Jennie, and Will, as they reminisced about their Korea trip last spring. From misunderstandings that made the trip even better to endless laughter moments that solidified this travel crew forever, listen to why this trip was their best one yet! Take out a pen and paper to jot down some tips and recommendations as well if you plan to go to Korea soon yourself!
It’s cool to hear how such different personalities can come together and create such a memorable trip, and this podcast is a reminder that every type in the Enneagram can beautifully contribute to what makes a community whole.

This week, I sit down with Stephanie and Hanur Kim as they get real about what their relationship looked like as they navigated through rough seasons together. This episode definitely ranks top 3 in my book because not only did I get to dive deep with one of my BEST friends and laugh throughout the entire sitting, but I also got to hear raw reflections about Hanur's journey through therapy and breaking cycles of toxic masculinity in our culture, the reality of Steph's own acceptance that she was not doing okay, and how by putting in the hard work and forming a true partnership, the two sit across from me today with smiles beaming across their faces because they are in the healthiest era of their lives as individuals and as a couple!
The two currently reside in Seattle, Washington, but I'm just waiting for when they move back to Dallas ;)
