Anna Maria Sperando Finds Loving Famiglia in Italy After Nearly 70 Years
Elmhurst resident, Anna Maria Sperando, was adopted from Italy in the 1950's by an American family at a young age, as her biological mother tragically died when she was only two years old.  After many years of searching for biological relatives in Italy, she found three living aunts, an uncle, and 'molti' nephews, nieces and cousins, with the help of her daughter, Jennifer Veremis.  Their recent trip to meet their newly found relatives, is a tear-jerker.  Also featured in the episode is our friend Slappy-Sal with a food review of Pazzi di Pizza, as well as another edition of One Ponce a Time with PK and Dave Oberg.

Dr. Peter Griffin, retired Chair of the Elmhurst University Music Department, shares his musical journey from a young music student to stints as an educator at two different Big 10 schools.  At one point in his career, Dr. Griffin was the director of one of the most prestigious college marching bands in the Nation, the Marching Illini.  His path eventually led him to a rewarding stint at Elmhurst U, where he was able to use some of his administrative skills learned earlier in his career.  Pete also shares the story of his late brother, Drew, who was instrumental in breaking some very big and important stories as chief investigative correspondent with CNN.
