Such a gift - thank you!!
I love listening and reading my Bible in the morning.
This daily podcast, downloaded straight to my phone daily, makes doing both together simply delightful.
Gosh. What a day and age to live in, when the Word of God is so ubiquitous and delivered with such attention to quality and detail. Honestly, it makes me pray the Lord to hasten the work of translators spreading this news even further around the world. I’m so grateful. So humbled. God bless you, crossway.
And Conrad — wow. Thank you bro! I love your voice. Thanks for sharing your reading with the world!

Daily Listener
While the African accent is at times confusing for a western listener I have enjoyed hearing the gospel from a new voice. I look forward to the Scripture portions each day. Well done!

Inexplicably Redeemed
I so appreciate Pastor Embewe’s expressiveness, as in, “O Lord…” or as in today’s reading, “O foolish ones and slow of heart to believe all that the Prophets have spoken!! (Luke 24:25). How I wish there was a daily Psalm read likewise by this dear pastor.

Thank you!
I’ve been waiting to hear more of Pastor Mbewe’s reading of scripture since stumbling across a reading on YouTube. His Zambian accent is a precious reminder that God’s word is for the world. Hearing the Bible read in other accents is a blessed sound to my ears. Thank you.

We have waited for this!
Thank you for producing a Bible resource with a voice so beautiful and refreshing by which to hear God’s word! Oh how long this has been needed!!

Bad choice of narrator
Had been a faithful listener for years but starting 2024 I have a difficulty following new narrator. When I do understand I end up mentally correcting pronunciation and missing the Bible reading. I really tried …

Play at 1.5
The new podcast is different but still great. For all of the narrator reviews, play at 1.5 speed and problem solved. I’ve been listening for 7 years now. Thank you for keeping it going.

Disappointed faithful listener
My wife and I have listened to your MCheyne plan podcast for several years now and regularly recommended it to others. Perfect amount of time traveling to work in the morning, shows in my podcast without fail. Good job! 5 Stars
Love Crossway and appreciate my brother Conrads participation in developing this version. We listened for 5 days in 2024 but both had to switch to a different narration due to difficulty understanding his beautiful voice.
Realize the desire to use different readers (good thing) and expand the listening audience, but if others are having the same issue, is there going to be a positive increase in users without an alternative?
Wish there were other options of the MCheyne plan from Crossway offered when introducing new reading voices. Or option to rehear last year’s version from the voice you because so accustomed to, which started your day off so well.

Is it possible to choose a different narrator?

Please bring back the former reader!
Both Conrad and Mr. Ortland are good readers and it is great to have them as an option but I very much enjoyed your former reader. Please bring that option back for those of us who enjoy his voice! Thank you

Great program, bring back chapter references!
At some point in the last few months, the narrator stopped saying the chapter before he read it. Please bring that back!

Chapter numbers removed again 😢
I use this podcast daily and am grateful for the reading and the plan which helps me stay in the Word.
But the references disappeared again and the four sections continue one after another without a break or pause. Please put the references back in!

Please add Book/Chapter Announcements
Was there a reason these announcements were removed? They are helpful for learning and recall.

Wonderful! Audio version
So glad this plan exists to put the McCheyne reading plan on audio. I have not had any issues and it seems all mentioned issues I previous reviews are resolved. Audio is good. I’m looking forward to completing the full year.

Audio Quality is Terrible
I want to listen to this but the audio quality is awful. Please upgrade the audio quality. I know for a fact there’s better quality.

Great Bible Reading Plan!
I love this podcast feed. It is a great help to listen and read the text at the same time, either in a Bible or in the episode notes. It also is a great tracker for a yearly Bible reading plan. However, it looks like the feed has stopped as of 8 June 21. I hope it is fixed soon!

Apple Update Stopped the podcast
For everyone that can’t access the podcast-if you updated your Apple device recently, that is why you’re not getting new episodes. I can still get the current episodes on my iPods because I’ve not updated them. My updated iPad is the only device that can’t download new episodes.
I’m still giving the podcast five stars because they’ll need time to make the necessary changes to their app. In the meantime, it’s back to the iPods for my daily study time.

Excellent [May 2021 Update]
[Where’s the podcast? It’s May and there’s been no update since April and no reply from either Crossway or Apple. Daily podcast missed daily!]

I love this podcast
Thank you for all of your hard work creating this amazing podcast! Has it been discontinued?
Huh????????
Excellent and helpful!
I love this podcast, because it makes the Bible really accessible for all- I appreciate being able to listen to the more difficult readings of the OT instead of zoning out trying to read them on my own. My only complaint with the podcast is that there is no announcement when the scripture is changed- i.e. Finishing the OT chapter moving on to the Psalms chapter, etc,. Overall, really awesome and helpful resource; thanks Crossway!

M’Cheyne Daily Reading as a podcast
Thank you Crossway for making the Robert Murray M’Cheyne Daily Bible Reading plan available as a podcast. The narrator, David Heath, is excellent, too. I listen most days on my commute to work.

Such a blessing!
M'cheyne was a minister of the Church of Scotland (1835-1843). He's reading plan has survived all of this time, and now is brought to us on a podcast. The ESV is a great translation, and the readers voice is professional. This is such a blessing

Easy and accessible, both audio and text.
High quality recording and also provides the text to read or follow along to. Best Bible podcast I know of.

Incredibly Thankful for this M'Cheyne Reading.
At the beginning of the year I examined several one-year bible reading plans and came to the conculsion that the Robert Murray M'Cheyne's plan was the best fit for me. I am an audible learner and found myself struggling with the straight reading. Now that I've found this podcast, I can see the vision of getting through the year as completely doable. Thank you for making it possible. The reading is great and your voice is pleasant to listen to. May God be glorified through your efforts and perseverance in this endeavor.

Flawless
This is a thorough reading plan and the podcast helps me process the text before I read it. The reading is clear and neutral. The episodes even include the scriptures for each day.

M'Cheyne Simplified
This arrangement is a great plan and a very quality recording. My only complaint with the M'Cheyne plan is that reading just a chapter or so per day isn't enough to get into the flow of the story.
For that reason, I modified the ESV Study Bible reading plan a few years back and started BibleTogether com. It is basically the same idea as M'Cheyne, but it combines all the Pentateuch readings onto Monday, History onto Tuesday, Gospels onto Wednesday, Prophets onto Thursday, and Epistles onto Friday. I would love to see a podcast laid out like this rather than chopped up like M'Cheyne.
Great work, Crossway. Thanks!

M'cCheyne's reading calendar
Being able to listen to this is amazing. It has been great in keeping me on track. Having four chapters before me from different parts of the Bible has given me a better overview of Scripture!

Excellent
Such a great tool! I really like listening to the text in this way.

Fantastic
What a Blessing to hear the Word of God read. With a setup like this, you can hear it all. The parts that aren't so familiar and everything else. While this is a great resource it should not replace our daily Bible reading and time with our Lord. Keep up the good work!
