Luke is a new team mate of mine on TRINITY racing, he is from the USA and has just taken his first stage win of 2021 at Tour d'Eure-et-Loir. We are currently both living in Belgium and after a few chats about the American cycling scene and his progression through it I was sure I wanted to get him on the podcast to chat. Russ Ellis in my opinion is the best in the business when it comes to racing photography. His ability to capture the moment, emotion and effort that goes into the world tour peloton is amazing. In this episode we chat about what its like to be a photographer on the back of a motorbike at races like Roubaix and Flanders, how he made his way to being the main photographer for Ineos and Specialized, and all the racing/camera talk in-between. Zak is an ex-professional rider for Israel SUN, he finished his career in 2019 and has now transitioned into the staff at the same team, this year that has meant taking a management role at the development squad, but also experiencing being a DS at the Vuelta for the World Tour team.  We talk about his development up through the sport and how the scene has changed for young riders trying to make it to the professional ranks today, making the most of the equipment and resources you have available to you to stand out from the rest. This week I’m talking to Tom Gloag, he has recently been shortlisted for the Cycling Weekly rising stars category after performances racing in Spain and also the Baby Giro/Ronde De L’isard for TRINITY racing. He is someone that I have grown up riding with and racing against, and definitely one to watch for the future. Tom Pidcock and Trinity racing won 3 stages and the GC at the Baby giro, if you want to hear from the riders about how this happened then your in the right place.
