It is an often occurrence when meeting new people for them ask you where you are from. The next words from your mouth will normally induce a nonverbal response that can be easily depicted on the other person’s face. When you say where you are from, what response do you receive? Positive or negative? Laugher or a shrug? Has the response ever made you angry? I have experienced every reaction you can name after stating that I am from Richmond, Virginia, more specifically the Southside.
