Javiera will be our host in this English 7 Podcast. This is a great warm conversation on the taboo of menstruation and sustainable options. 

In these episode our students share what they have researched on Chilean female scientists and engineers who have succeeded in their carreers with great contributions to their fields, regardless of any obstacles. We will reflect on what can we do as teachers to avoid gender stereotypes in the classroom and in our school culture. 

In English 7 students prepare the podcasts! Within the overarching theme of sustainability, today we are exploring the option of reusing or giving items a second life so as to work on a more sustainable economy and look after the environment by reducing waste. Are we consciuous about reusing, recycling and are we prepared to DIY?

Today in classes we learned about fake news and conspiracy theories. They have always existed but now there are so many around. So why do we have more of them and why do people believe in them, ignoring the facts? Finally, we discuss the role of us as teachers in relation when dealing with this with our students: everyone is entitled to an opinion, but what if that opinion is fallacious or ignores relevant evidence? (We love diversity: same questions, different answers)
