Last year I had the most incredible opportunity to interview activist, abolitionist, singer/song writer, teacher and sex trafficking survivor, Cynthia Borsellino. I first came in contact with Cynthia at a Q&A called Voices. I then learned that there was a documentary film called Honeychild about her story as a prostitute and a sex trafficking survivor. With the news that sex trafficking survivor Cyntoia Brown received clemency for a 51 year prison sentence, I knew this was the right moment to release this interview. I had an opportunity to attend the International Justice Mission's Liberate Global Conference in Frisco, Texas. This was IJM's 20th year celebration of the work they have done to help end human trafficking around the world.
