Trevor Foley's rise in long-course triathlon hasn't followed a typical playbook. A former college runner with almost no cycling background, he found his way into the sport with what he calls “blind confidence" — and quickly discovered a talent for producing serious power on the bike.
In this conversation, Trevor shares how he made the leap from running to triathlon, what he learned from early racing mistakes, and why he mixes up his riding instead of spending every session on his time-trial bike. He also looks back on his devastating crash at Kona in 2024 and the mindset that's brought him back hungry for Kona 2026. Beyond his own racing, Trevor talks about building Foley Athletics, coaching a growing team, and helping athletes balance ambitious goals with the rest of their lives.
