Really interesting concept but the writing is abysmal.

I’m sorry, but that ending was complete nonsense. There’s absolutely no reason that happened. Complete waste of a premise and story just to finish it that way. It’s like the writers had no idea what to do, so they threw up their hands and said f-it. I almost want to join the Discord just so I can ask them what the heck happened. It’s a shame because their other stuff is pretty decent. This ending makes me not want to try anything else of theirs, though. Seriously though, a whole podcast about a time loop just for none of it to matter at the end. Literally NOTHING that happened in the story affects what happens to the main character in the last scene. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Or do, but skip the last episode and make up your own story. 2 stars because it was good until the last 10 minutes, but also 2 stars because that ending absolutely ruined the whole story.

This show has gotten better and better as the story has unfolded. Actually surprising where it has headed, which is truly unique among the genre, even the really good ones. I have been consistently surprised in the best way. I hope that he can keep it up and that the story stays strong and finishes well. There have been so many audio fiction podcasts that were really impressive and entertaining and then for some reason they all seem to either just stop with no end at all, never to return, or flop the most disappointing, often nonsensical, ending onto an otherwise excellent show. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed. So far it feels like this will be the standout! Yay! 🤞➰🎬🙏🫣💯🤔

I make myself wait until there are at least a few new episodes out, so I can binge them. ‘Cause the show so good that a single episode isn’t enough!

I wanted to love this as the plot is quite compelling and fresh. While the concept is engaging, End of the Loop misses the mark when it comes to execution. Personally, it’s disappointing as time slips, loops and travel are one of my favorite tropes in fiction. The narrator’s incessant (and very obvious) questions begin to feel grating by ep 2. The same questions are asked, then repeated over and over again…”what does this mean?”, “what are they hiding?”, etc. Additionally, the narrator feels he must remind us every 5 mins or so, that he knows everyone’s next move and that he or they have “done this before”. Of course they have…it’s a flipping time loop! Unfortunately, this redundancy becomes not only annoying, but distracting. Ironically, I often felt as though I was in some sort of repetitive (and maddening) time loop throughout each episode - and I doubt that was the intended effect. Lots of promise, but sadly, comes up short on its delivery.

The stories good, but the constant repetitive loop about the loop every episode over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (let us know when it’s annoying) over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and…………..

Sweet Jesus, we understood in two minutes that you broke the time loop. The entire first episode should have been five minutes long at most.

Thank you Midnight Mystery Team for making my commute 🚙 more bearable. This is a great listen. I wish there was more but I enjoyed the story.

This series is so good! It released 7 months ago and I’ve already listened through the whole thing twice now because it’s so interesting. I can’t wait for next season. I hope people find and listen to the series so that it will get enough following to keep going. It’s one of my favorites! While it is a sci-fi concept, very much a mystery or thriller. It keeps you on the edge of your seat for sure! Amazing writing.

Extremely predictable but engaging enough for a long car ride.

The main character is way too repetitive. He keeps saying he knows this or knows that over and over again. I couldn’t even finish the second episode. Also, there are contradictory statements, like the days are the same but then he goes on to explain how people react differently depending on how he interacts with them or how the neighbors will notice if anything is touched or out of place (including footprints/shoe prints on the carpet) but then goes on to say how there’s a mug on the table and half lit candle. The story has potential but it needs to be cleaned up a bit.

I love this podcast and wish there were SO many more episodes. I just want to listen for hours!
