Today marks the completion of one cycle and the beginning of the next. Interview with Mark Corkery

Heidi S. Puc, MD, FACP, ABIHM, is a physician partner in Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY, located in Syracuse, NY. She received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC in 1989. She then did her Internal Medicine internship and medical residency training at Cornell University Medical College Affiliated Hospitals of The New York Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She did her Hematology and Oncology Fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and started her practicing at HOACNY in 1995. She became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) in 2004. She became interested in Integrative Medicine after a personal spiritual transformation and took a course in Integrative Holistic Medicine through the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine in California where she sat for the boards. In December 2010 she became a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM). She is trying to incorporate the knowledge she has gained through this course and certification into her current practice of hematology and oncology, and has begun doing consultations for patients of her practice. She realizes this is a process in evolution and she is at the very beginning of her path in integrative holistic oncology. She is a member of the Society for Integrative Oncology and also the American Board of Holistic Medicine, and is an active participant of an integrative medicine referral group through the Crouse Hospital Institute for Integrative Medicine. She is trained in Level II Reiki as well as Basic Pranic Healing, and currently is studying to become a master in Seichim healing. She is honored to have been a client and friend of Sheila Applegate over the last several years and looks forward to continued spiritual growth.
