Grateful for this podcast!
I just listened to ‘gratitude is the stress buster’ and it was so helpful for me. Thank you! I especially love what was said about gratitude not needing to look a certain way or be about a certain topic/big things. This was beautiful, moving, and I am going to put it into action. ❤️ keep doing what you do!

Great show. One issue with Ep. 76
This is a very helpful show. Thank you for the work you do! I want to preface with that before I express my main complaint about episode 76. I appreciate the “flipping the narrative” sentiment. I’ve done this multiple times myself, and it does help a lot. However, one can’t just “stop it” (a negative thought). We have such an obsession with averting negative emotions and jumping to positive ones, and this revulsion to negativity is essentially conflict avoidance. There are so many steps to take before we can jump from “negative” to “positive.” The brain doesn’t register forced positive thought as sincere, even if the intention is to retrain our thinking patterns. The subconscious/conditioned mind takes a long time to learn a maladaptive thought pattern. Don’t you think we have to accept what we are feeling in the moment, give ourselves permission to know it and really feel it— but we need good counseling to help us cope with those moments— and then we need help inquiring about what the negative feeling is telling us? I think it is at this convergence when we can slowly shift our thinking to something much healthier and more aligned with what we value. What is being suggested roughly 11 minutes into the episode is, “don’t have a negative thought. They’re icky. Don’t do that to yourself. Just stop it.” It’s very invalidating and skips a whole level of insight necessary to achieve congruence.

Excellent! It’s not too late!
Finding this podcast was perfect for me. As I have applied the principles to myself that she teaches, I have let go of some old and not so pleasant patterns in my life. Rebecca is an expert in the arena of self help that everyone should know. The world could use a LOT of emotional intelligence right now so I’m sharing this podcast with everyone. It’s helped, it can help others.

Helped me out a ton
The conversations are very professional and informative. I enjoy listening to the guests on the show, as there is a lot of variety. They can talk about concepts that are very scientific or very theoretical, so it’s a nice mix of information from a lot of sources. Highly recommend!

Hit or miss
Some of the information in this podcast is fantastic, some of it isn’t. Passing pseudo science and unproven claims as facts knowing people look to you as an authority is in bad taste. Also, enough with the essential oils already. One of them definitely has to sell them with how much they talk about it

I love this podcast
Thank you for these amazing podcasts. I learn so much from them!

Want to love but can never finish
I’ve tried to listen to several episodes but the sound is so awful and inconsistent that I give up about halfway through. I listen to podcasts while running and hate trying to fiddle with the volume while I’m running. It’s makes for a horrible listening experience to have to continually turn the volume up and down. I’m not sure if it’s a tech issue or if people are just shifting closer to/farther away from the microphone. In any case, it has stopped me from listening to this podcast because I end up missing so much of it anyway. If the issue is ever solved, I would love to try again because the information is something I’m very interested in!

Brain Science meet Self Worth
I love the connection made between how the brain works, the emotions we feel and how that affects how we see our self worth. I agree that feeling of worth or worthy is key to us progressing and it’s great to have these two as a resource to understand what’s happening in our brain and with our emotions.
