What is your Exit strategy from Bedside Nursing?
Happy 4th of JULY!  Spoiler alert you might hear a few fireworks in the background. However, I wanted to get this message out. Today I talk about having an exit strategy from the bedside. We experience burnout when we are no longer challenged and learning. As high achievers, it is essential to set goals and stay on track to continued growth and success. The goal is to get into nursing school, graduate, pass boards, get a job, and most times, that is it. A lot of times, we search when we are unhappy and starting to experience burnout. Start early. In this podcast, I share some insight on how you can begin your exit strategy.  If you have any questions or are engaging in support on your journey, visit www.invidacoaching.com I am a coach and specialize in helping you find your purpose, getting clear on your mission, helping you craft your programs, building the pathway to your success, and holding you accountable.  Have a happy and safe 4TH of JULY!

Nick a former firefighter that retired with PTSD and Desiree who came from trauma in the home as a child have come together and worked through the struggle of trauma while learning to be connected with one another. They have learned the power of connection and vulnerability and understand how amazing marriage can be. By learning to come together in complex situations they have learned how to work through the difficulties that arise in marriage. They have learned how to get in touch with their emotions, and their bodies, and become open to many different things to help them in their marriage. Using breath work, yoga, meditation, sound bowls, eye gazing, along with many other healing modalities they have learned how to have a deep intimate connection with one another. Being raised in strict Christian homes Nick and Des never knew that it was ok to use these healing modalities to help them in an amazing way. They have learned that they can lean into their faith and still use all of these other healing modalities in a powerful way. They believe that God has placed all things on earth for us and that they are a true gift from God that can help us in so many ways, bringing deep connection with each other.

Being intentional with our TEENS during crisis in the ER
Monique is a mother of 5, a registered ER nurse, real estate developer, and coach. After she lost her son Jake to suicide in 14’ she began a journey of healing and self-discovery that would lead her to a deep understanding of vulnerability as a superpower and armor as a tool used to keep the world out. She has worked tirelessly with her own children and many others helping them to drop the armor and connect through vulnerability. After many years of working with teens, Monique has now started to work with parents and teens together to help bridge the gap in connection that those often difficult teen years bring about. Five ways to STEP up your LEADERSHIP
Leadership is an important part of the job as a Registered Nurse. I saw a NURSE calling out some CNAs on Tik Tok a few days ago.  Working in healthcare for 16 years, I’ve learned how to treat and lead people. After watching this tik tok video, the first thing that came to mind was this nurse's lack of leadership and pettiness. As Registered Nurses, it is our job to lead our Trauma Techs, LVNs, and CNAs. Today I want to share some words of encouragement and tips that have helped me along the way.  Show them respect and communicate. Know their roles, capability, and comfort level. Teach them how to help you by explaining what is happening with the patient, the care plan, and what to look out for to alert you. Empower them to come to you when they are concerned Celebrate them when they come to you Let go of the pettiness and embrace leadership.
