Pet Loss Grief Hope
Searched for pet loss/grief podcasts after losing our dog Roxy on 4/21/2025. Julia’s two part podcasts with the Pet Loss Grief Counselor Beth Bigler helped so much not only with Roxy’s passing but with lingering grief from three family pet dogs that passed before Roxy. Planning on listening to all of the episodes soon.

Can’t wait for more episodes!
I learned so much about myself and challenged many of my own beliefs while listening to this podcast. One of my favorites, I’ve listened to most of the episodes multiple times. Crossing my fingers for more episodes in the future! Probably one of the most interesting podcasts I’ve ever heard.

First podcast I’ve actually been 110% engaged throughout every single episode
I have never written a review for ANYTHING, but for this podcast I had to. I’m a very picky listener when it comes to podcasts and I often read other people’s reviews hyping a podcast up. And then I give it a try and I just can’t even get through the first few minutes. But THIS podcast has been nothing short of amazing!!!
There isn’t one episode that I’ve skipped over and it is hands down my #1 favorite podcast I’ve ever listened to! And with each episode, there is always a unique takeaway. It really gets you thinking and has also provided me with many new meaningful insights that I previously would not have otherwise become more aware of. Listening to this podcast has genuinely helped my mind, body, and soul in so many different ways.

thank you!!
I have been struggling with panic attacks and horrible anxiety for weeks now after a scary medical incident where I felt like I was blacking out and dying. After it happened, I was so consumed with the fear of death that I seriously was not thinking about anything else. This podcast has helped me so so much and I will continue to listen every week. Thank you so much for starting this♥️

#1 Robert and Julia
I was glad to hear Robert's story. As someone who worked EMS and then ER for 8 years, I've done work including CPR for so many patients like Robert. To hear about the experience from a patient who survived a massive heart attack is always interesting, because the work we do is so intended for them, for the patient's (and their family's) benefit and experience.
Julia's background story is also interesting. As with Robert's story, the timing of events was just so perfect for Julia to be able to be saved. I'll add that it's important to make an effort to be totally kind and supportive of each other when someone is going to pass or passes, because it's going to happen for everyone one day. I think this podcast is good to help us recognize that and be more prepared for it.

Really enjoying it
I absolutely loved the episode with Rachel. Learning about her experience was difficult, emotional and I even cried. What she has been through is so fascinating and the most interesting thing I've heard in a while.

Just what I needed! We need to talk about death!
I have had anxiety about death most of my life. I have had horrible panic attacks due to intense intrusive thoughts and fear about death, mine and people I love. I am not from a religious or cultural background that normalizes or talks about death. I think Julia is a fantastic host and explores the topic of death with great guests in a meaningful way.

Love this!
I listened to the first two episodes and I really enjoyed them. It’s certainly a subject that doesn’t get talked about enough. Death is scary for me also and learning more about it and being able to give it the respect it deserves is something I’m very interested in.
I would love to hear an episode about caregiving an aging parent as death approaches. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve had to do and every day I hope that I am doing enough or being what is needed to give comfort and support.
Thank you for opening up this subject and being willing to talk about death so we can learn.
Looking forward to future episodes.

Interesting!!
I’m not particularly interested in death, and don’t worry much about death. But, I enjoyed following Julia’s PCT hike, so figured I’d give this chance. And, I’m really enjoying it! Very interesting guests!

Really well done!
I listened to the first episode and got an experience I was not expecting at all. It’s hard to describe, but I basically felt chills through my body (mostly during the second half) as I was listening and processing the information inside. I was absolutely glued to the storyline and felt entirely at peace. It was super interesting to hear both Robert’s and Julia’s experiences. In a way, it helps me feel that death is not something to fear. Thanks to both Robert and Julia for sharing your intensely personal stories and to Julia for producing this wonderful podcast!!

Wonderful
I first came to know Julia during her Pacific Crest Trail thru hike. When she announced her new podcast on the topic of embracing death I was floored. Both of my parents passed away two years ago. Since that time I have spent probably too many hours reading and researching near death experiences in an attempt to understand both the end of this life and what comes after. Julia’s opening podcast is a beautiful introduction to this often difficult to discuss topic. Julia has a warm and open way about her that draws you in immediately. I look forward to each of the upcoming episodes and the amazing guests she will bring into the discussion.

Let’s talk about dying
I suffer from a fear/fixation with death as well. On a average day I think about it at least 20 times. Found the episodes very helpful, thank you.

Exploring the experience
What a beautiful topic to cover and explore. This is a topic that will affect us all throughout our lives. Learning more about and seeking ways to cope with the death experience can demystify the topic. Looking forward to hearing more …
