What would you do if a wild fire were bearing down on your house?  Aside from your loved ones, what would you save and what would you leave behind?  I was forced to make that decision when our town was evacuated in the wake of the worst wildfire in Oregon history.

It’s a journey that began back in the 90’s after volunteering to help tune Pearl Jam’s drums.  Each new experience and contact took him further down the rabbit hole and closer to his dream.  Today he is the drummer for “Flock of Seagulls”. It’s been 3 weeks since I got the call to drive down to assist my 86-year-old father. In that time, I have been able to unpeel the layers of emotion that come with realizing that your father needs help and you are the only one in the room.
