Is all advice equal? What is real wisdom and where does it come from?  Real wisdom is more than just knowing the correct information, real wisdom is knowledge applied. The book of proverbs outlines the value and importance of Godly Wisdom, and how the fear of God is how we can attain it.

What actually lasts forever? The end of the book of Daniel is a stark reminder that much more is happening than what we can see. As far back as we can look and as far in the future as we try and predict, ultimately... every earthly kingdom eventually falls, and that only God's Kingdom remains. In a world obsessed with building bigger, achieving more, and leaving a name behind, the final visions of Daniel point us and calls us to invest our lives in something that history can never erase.

As we wrap up our series in Daniel, we'll explore the visions he has regarding kingdoms, beasts, and the Son of Man. These radical encounters with God leave us asking a powerful question: What kind of person are you becoming? In a world that often rewards a beast type nature that grows into kingdoms, and empires, we have to reflect and ask ourselves, am I becoming more beastly or Godly? Prideful or humble? God calls His people to become more like Jesus and that means a dependence on Him.

It seems as though, our culture has lost something as of late: a sense of reverence. This week Ps. Lukas unpacks Daniel 5, a part two to last weeks sermon on pride where we begin to see what happens when we treat Godly things casually, and how the fall of Babylon teaches us about God's patience, judgment, and the call to honour what is holy.

Nebuchadnezzar had everything: wealth, influence, success, and a kingdom unlike any other, yet his greatest threat wasn't an enemy on the outside, but pride within his own heart. As we'll see, God opposes pride not to humiliate us, but to rescue us—because pride isolates, but humility restores and its our saviour, who gave us the greatest example of humility of all.

True faith refuses to bow not because it’s defiant, but because it’s devoted. God is honored when obedience is rooted in Him, and that often has a cost. What we forget.. is even if he decides not to intervene, its not about a world outcome, its about a responding with our true reward in mind. Being with Jesus forever.

When the world is desperate for answers, God positions His people not to panic—but to pray, speak truth, and point to Him as the source of wisdom. Panic and Pressure is not the sign of healthy Christians or healthy leaders. We are called to be the salt to the earth and that can’t happen under duress. Our ability to stay calm in crisis is a Godly gift for everyone, and can be a testimony to those around us.
