The heroes investigate and exploreVallaki for clues, discovering more about the town. They meet the gravedigger and Blinsky. Both share information unrelated to the missing bones, but useful about surviving Vallaki.

Our heroes make it to Vallaki safe and sound. After finding the local tavern and meeting some townsfolk, they head out to the church, as agreed with Ismark and Ireena. To their surprise, the priest informs them that the bones protecting the church have been stolen. The heroes remain vigilant and start the investigation of the missing bones.

The journey continues after our heroes leave Tser pool. On the way to Vallaki, they stop at an old mill, that is run by old Morgantha’s daughters where they make their pies. A murder of crows draws the adventurers' attention to investigate a strange monoliths' formation.

Shaken and confused, the group decides to move on towards the Vistani camp. On the way there, they are ambushed but victorious. Arriving at Tser pool they are warmly welcomed by Nehemia’s people, only to receive an ominous card reading by Madam Eva.

The adventurers spend a few hours waiting for the funeral. They learn more tales about vampires, find out old Morgantha’s pies and a strange man attending the funeral. Embarking on their journey to escort Ireena, they are met with a grim scene at the gallows.

The heroes learn more about Doru and his affliction while angering his father, Donavich. Ismark is waiting for them at his manor, with Ireena. With preparations for their upcoming journey underway, there is one more thing to do before embarking. The Burgomaster’s funeral.

Our heroes are finally out of the house and make their way to the village of Barovia. They recover from the shock and share stories. It is now time to make some gold and find the answers they seek.

Delving deeper into the catacombs under the Durst estate, the heroes will discover a shrine to Strahd von Zarovich, the fate of Gustav and Elizabeth Durst, and make a heavy sacrifice.

Our heroes find out what happened to the children and take their remains to be buried. They discover a spiral staircase leading to the basement and start exploring the labyrinthine tunnels. After scouting silently, the empty crypts of the Durst family are found and the remains put to rest. As they continued exploring the corridors, a faint chanting filled the silence. The heroes followed it, only to be ambushed by ghouls.

Our heroes continue to explore the eerily empty house, encountering an animated armor that brought one of them to the brink of death, taking a quick rest, and meeting a worried ghost. They found more about baby Walter, Elisabeth Durst, and made a tragic discovery in the attic.
