This track is based on reworked trumpet solo recordings. Through manipulation, layering and synthesis, the original material is transformed into a new soundscape where the instrument's identity dissolves and reassembles into unexpected forms, suspended between memory, error and digital transformation.

Inspired by the following haiku written by Anne Carpenter. She is part of the Stay Cool project - a collaboration between #NaviarRecords and Red Earth Ecology - that aims to promote techniques for Japanese-inspired prose and foster international collaboration.
Darkness cocoons,
Red and yellow slowly creep.
Silence disappears.

Inspired by this haiku I wrote for The Naviar Records Haiku Music Challenge (www.naviarrecords.com - https://soundcloud.com/naviar-records)
slowly gliding
a snail in the grass
follows the clouds

Inspired by the following haiku written by Takahama Kyoshi, a Japanese poet active during the Shōwa period of Japan.
A single paulownia leaf
sunlit as it falls
to the ground.

Imagining a microphone placed inside a mole’s tunnel, the piece gathers and transforms barely perceptible underground sounds. A listening practice directed toward what usually remains beneath the surface.

There are moments when sounds and images fall like rain from the clouds of memory.

The idea for this track was born from listening to a piano experiment by Meccaniche del Suono (https://soundcloud.com/meccaniche-del-suono/2-di-3-hole-third-disquiet0698).
The sound of the piano (Meccaniche del Suono) made me imagine that moment of suspension in the air just before the rain.
I thank the author (@meccaniche-del-suono) for the permission to rework and publish the track. I invite you to visit his very interesting Soundcloud page.

This song is for Palestine. The voices at the end of the track were recorded during a pro-Palestine demonstration in Naples.
My name has dissolved
letter by letter, into the air.
My dreams have vanished in a timeless sky
I don't remember my face
Jewish soldiers stole it
They dissolved it
And now I no longer have a name, nor a face
Like my land, torn and devastated.

Inspired by the following haiku written by Andrea Cecon, a hearing aids technician, a traveler, and a haijin published all over the world. He finds his inspiration in memories, travels, and everyday life…
thinking of us
the sound of wind
among the pines
