A brief account of my day; basically a filler to avoid getting used to missing recording.

Just keep moving, step one foot after the other. Motivation may find you along the way; and when it does, it would have found you at some progress from the start line.

Turns out you say more, when you actually have something to say.

Music. A universal language, which one understands even if unable to speak or read it. Transcends borders, inclinations, beliefs. There's no faulting the sound of music.

Second time writing this, the first composition got cleared. So I almost missed today's episode; but yeah, I didn't. Listening to my recording gave me the feedback that it wasn't quite clear and audible, which was why I passed on using background music; wouldn't want to drown my voice yunno. Maybe naming this Filler is 'cause I think not much passed, but maybe some did.

I missed my session for last week; and after that first miss, I noted it was now easier for me to miss another, or to stop all together. It's easier to turn off the fire after the flames have dwindled. But applying the brake doesn't mean the throttle is out of play. I mean, crests and troughs are both essential parts of a wave. Consistency may not imply having gone without any stops; it could also be going on despite any stops.

I attended a couple of Toastmasters International meetings back in 2019, before I left my then location. I was really impressed by the meeting programme, and how it impresses upon one, calls upon one to improve and develop one's expression and presentation skills. That's part of what this podcasting journey is about: improving my ability to speak on the go, and express thoughts succinctly and brilliantly enough orally. The journey is still on, and I hope and believe there will be motion with session, such that there's improved quality with each addition to quantity. So here, a toast to mastering🥂.

Beginning may well be the easier part. Taking step after step towards progress is where the more work is. And here's me taking another in this journey of improvement.

They say the hardest step is usually the first. But maybe it isn't just. Maybe the hardest step is always the next, of which the first could be one. I begin this journey in pursuit of personal improvement and development, and intend to get better with each next. We learn to do by doing innit? I didn't edit this first draft before publishing, 'cause I want to follow each true step of my growth; such that it isn't scripted or rehearsed. Such that it is really me. To growth🥂.
