Don’t tell Tom…
…but when the new “Egg Foo What” drops it becomes my top listening priority. Like everyone else, I first knew of Mike through “The Best Show.” I always enjoyed his contributions there, and when he started his own podcast I was excited to give it a try. I expected to enjoy it, but what I didn’t expect was for it to become my favorite podcast. I pause whatever I’m currently listening to when a new episode is available. It is, if I may quote Greg, “delightful.” Keep ‘em coming Content Bros!

Great stuff
Loose, freewheeling and funny. This podcast is kind of like hanging out at a bar for a couple of hours with two witty, smart barflies.

Welcome…to egg foo WHAT?
I’ve been listening since the beginning. I enjoy the funny, thoughtful conversation. And it’s ad-free! Thank you, content bros!! May the universe continue to wink at you (in a good way).

After the toilet brush story this week, let's just say... I smell Pulitzer! And that's not all I smell.

Scratches an itch
Fly on wall listening to random musings of two pals that briefly includes Chinese food. Endearing, enlightening and definitely enjoyable

So Entertaining!
I started listening to this podcast after a recommendation from a family member. After initial doubts about listening to a podcast devoted to Chinese Food reviews, I am hooked! I love the banter between Mike and Greg, it’s very funny and I also find it interesting when the deviate from the main topic. Definitely Check this podcast out.

Simply Delightful
It's like listening to a pair of beloved friends talk about this, that, and everything. Ostensibly about Chinese food, the joy is in Mike and Greg's banter and the digressions therein. It's on my must-listen list for sure.

Greatest podcast ever
Two dudes yammering on about Chinese food, baseball, death, and The Kinks. A perfect show.

Like a Good Friend
As a fan of The Best show I was interested when I learned Mike had a Podcast. I was always interested to know more about him so I gave it a listen. It is like listening to an old friendthat you want to catch up with. Being close to Mike’s age I can relate to a lot of what he and Greg talk about. I love this Podcast. Thanks so much.

Much more to it than the food
Like overhearing a great conversation at the table next to you at a Chinese restaurant.
Makes me wish I could join in.

A great hang out
They make food and life fun! They go down many random rabbit holes that often have fun payoffs. Also they clearly are good friends but love how they call each other out on stuff. Now if Mike can just say “Egg Foo… WHAAAT?!” properly it’ll be a perfect cast. Thanks for your time!

Great company for road trips
Over the holidays I needed to drive alone to Washington DC as well as other places, and Egg Foo What has been my company along the way. Mike and Greg have such a great rapport, it’s like having two friends join you on the road trip - talking about Chinese dishes, books, television shows, etc. I have always been a fan of Mike going back to 2006, and Depravity’s Rainbow was a favorite of mine for him to stretch out and talk with Therese, but Greg is also a nice addition. Looking forward to more episodes!

Kink
Dave Davies’s autobiography, “Kink”, is my favorite boomer tell-all. Mike Lisk needs to check it out. There is a story about Dave ripping his foreskin off during sex that will make Mike giddy. .

Love this podcast!! The click and clack of Chinese takeout food!

The Killing of a Chinese Menu
Mike Lisk brings a low key insight that never fails to amuse.
Greg Wilson is not afraid to upset the apple-cart with his wild points of view.
Two smart dudes who aren’t afraid to be a little dumb, let a conversation about a takeout choice spool out into all the weird reaches of our mundane lives.
Dare I say genius? Dare I?

Did you enjoy 📽️The Conversation?
Master Class.
The vehicle of sampling Chinese food is secondary to the dialogue held by our heroes.

Nice casual and honest conversation between friends. An enjoyable time listening. Like overhearing an amusing pair of guys at the bar.

Welcome!…..EGG FOO what
I love this podcast. The show gets better and better. It’s like being a fly on the wall at the bar. I find them both to be very endearing, warts and all, lol. They have found a comfort zone and have a relaxed rapport and it’s fun listen. I hope the take out menu is long and varied!

Boring also pointless
No real preparation seems to be made for the episodes. Neither funny or informative. Thumbs down

Funny and informative!
As one who rarely strays from General Tao’s Chicken when ordering Chinese food, I have learned a lot from this podcast. And unlike many of the dishes these poor souls are forced to ingest, Egg Foo What is comfort food for the soul.

Fans of "The Best Show" & A.P. Mike Rejoice!
If you're a fan of "The Best Show" and the show's long-running associate producer, Mike Lisk, you'll want to check this out. Mike and his friend Greg do lots of storytelling. They talk about Chinese takeout, but mostly they talk about whatever. Plenty of longform stories from AP Mike. Greg is funny and a good storyteller as well.

Finally. A Mike Lisk podcast.
I would love to give this podcast five stars. Unfortunately I can’t. Because if the book “It Never Ends” by Tom Scharpling isn’t worthy of five stars, neither is this.

I love this podcast. The worst food bringing out the best in laughs.

Pure Joy
It’s brilliant. I love the conversation. The food talk is just an excuse. These guys talk about literature and music and tell stories of epic human failures of the common man. There’s authenticity, personality, hilarity. Sincerely…
Chestervoltaire
The only podcast about food.
Tom Scharpling has the correct opinion that Thai food is superior to Chinese food. But sometimes you just need something unpretentious, fast and cheap.
It’s about time media addressed the nuances between Chop Suey and Chow Mein. Long time fan of AP Mike’s unflappable sensibilities and his dynamic with the solid GenX energy that Greg brings to the table is very pleasant to listen to whether you are assembling IKEA furniture or cruising down the turnpike. Recommended.

Great stuff
It's fun listening to Mike be the straight man after years of hurling verbal Molotov cocktails on The Best Show.
My favorite part so far: weeks after informing Mike that he's allergic to shellfish and mushrooms, Greg casually admitting that he's not actually allergic, he just tells people that to make sure they don't put stuff he doesn't like in his food.

My New Favorite Podcast
I’m through the first seven eps and they’ve all been great. Give it a try - you won’t be disappointed!

A veritable chop-suey of chit-chat
Although described as a show about people eating stuff, “Egg Foo WHAT?!?!” is much more than that, the hosts using each week’s chosen dish as a springboard for thematic improvisation on a variety of subjects. Highly recommended.
