Hosted by Brandon Chapman, this episode of Education Eclipse features Amber Brown, newly appointed kinesiology faculty member at the College of Education, Sport and Human Sciences. Amber shares her excitement about teaching KINES 138: Introduction to Kinesiology, a gateway course for students pursuing careers in athletic training and related fields. She also discusses her ongoing role as director of the Kinesiology Activity Program, which offers one-credit activity classes ranging from yoga and weight training to the ever-popular fly fishing. Amber reflects on her journey from Yakima to faculty status, and the value these engaging courses bring to students across campus.

127. Student heading to Cincy!
First-year WSU student Sadie Chamberlain, who is majoring in Sport Management, has been involved in hands-on activities since her first day on campus. That includes time with the WSU men's soccer club, head coached by Sport Management faculty member Alex Gang.Now, along with Alex, and Kinesiology faculty member Tristan Loria, Sadie is helping with research pertaining to music and soccer. She and Alex will be presenting this research at the Applied Sport Management Association Conference in Cincinnati on Feb. 12-14.

We join Sammi Nutter Charlton, a 2021 alumna from the WSU College of Education, who is now a third-grade teacher in East Wenatchee.Sammi isn't only a teacher, she's also a children's book author, recently with Dozer Day Paves the Way, proceeds of which benefit the Nutter Family Foundation.
