This podcast is one of the only ones I can relate to they are hilarious as well as talking about stuff I love this is one of the best mtg podcasts out there and I would listen even if I didn’t know how to play magic

You can tell these three are at ease from the moment the episode starts. Very insightful thoughts and I appreciate that they use data to guide their discussions!

This is my second favorite podcast only bested by the cod tower but only because of the nostalgia but you guys are funny but still teaches me.

I watch/listen to a lot of podcasts, and this is easily my favorite for Magic the Gathering. The guys are funny, always have helpful information, and include the community in their considerations which feels good in a community game like MtG.

Content is pretty medium. Lots of self promotion. Often feels scripted. 5-6 minutes of ads just to get to the start of most episodes. Decent background noise for mtg fans.

I love the show! It’s interesting, funny, and not as bad as some people would assume. However, they’re going the way of The Command Zone. Constant ads interrupting an interesting topic with terrible segways (sometimes there isn’t even one: they’re talking, and then BOOM, an ad!) I love this podcast, and I understand people need money, nothing can be done for free. But PLEASE, I beg, at least bother to segway into your ads. The lack of segways is disorientating and is honestly making me less likely to listen to this podcast more.

Joey and Dana chose to defend BG, but didn’t include price point… didn’t need jeweled lotus, but maybe anything of value in the deck that was a reprint worthy. It was 9 dollars for a booster, that gave 1 rare and uncommons.

Between the forced puns at every opportunity and frequent derailments this show frequently misses the mark. There are better mtg and commander podcasts out there. Avoid this one.

The when your pointing out facts it’s nice to know they have the numbers plus who doesn’t want to hear a dad joke???

The EDHRECAST is easily my favorite podcast when it comes to Commander content. Their numbers driven approach sets them apart from other content, and gives the show a sense of perspective. The rapport among the hosts is great, each one brings something different to the table, and who doesn’t love starting each episode with a Dad joke.

I really appreciate the way they use data, but I think it, and the way it’s written leads to a really scripted feel. I know outlines should be followed but it almost feels too scripted. If the information wasn’t as good or the group dynamic wasn’t as good, it’d likely drop a bit in rating. A good listen still.

My favorite podcast period. Love the statistical and analytical aspects of the show. Thank you for the awesome content!

Has been pretty negative towards other content creators and I won’t be further supporting the podcast.

I started listening after a shout out on CMDR Central. I love the rivalry different angle on commander your channel brings. I really enjoy that each episode is based on a different aspect of the game. The data based podcasting is a really interesting take when there is so many other podcasts out there.

This is a great show and shows the info and helps with deciphering it and not always agreeing with it and are great voices in the edh world

My mostly consistently listened to EDH podcast. Thoughtful analysis, dad jokes, recommendations. Everything you could ask for.

Any EDH player knows how great EDHRec is for deck building and hearing these guys put some data into context is a great way to have some degree of objectivity for something that allows so much subjectivity as is playing MTG. Highly recommended! Already learned about so many cards and so many interactions that I wouldn’t know of if it wasn’t for this podcast! Keep the good work fellas!

Was doing a project a few months ago and threw this on in the background, loved it right away and tore through episodes. I just listened to one that opened with a Russian nesting doll dad joke and that might be more useful than any amount of magic knowledge

A top resource for commander content

I have been using EDHREC for year for my deck building. Recently came across the podcast and it does not disappoint. I recommend to new players or even experienced players as it gives you a different insight on cards, builds, and much more!

These guys tend to provide great thoughts on many of the older cards and have on occasion pointed me towards interactions that i had missed between my own cards. Challenge the stats is also a great bit and i look forward to seeing ehat underplayed cards there are out there

When I am relaxing and ust need something in the background, EDH rec is my go to. With the chemistry of Joey, Matt, and Dana, it is a relaxed show and viewing experience, and sometimes, it is gut bustingly funny.. (Especially with those dad jokes)

Awesome if you are in it for the stats. There are a lot of MTG and Commander content creators. What sets this show apart is the way they can pull from the wealth of data on EDHrec. If that kind of data driven approach speaks your language, this show is for you!

I listen to a lot of MTG podcasts and this one is a perfect balance of funny and informational. I feel as though the combination of insight from experience and insight from statistics leads to some phenomenal advice. Would recommend to commander players of any skill level.

EDHRECast is the best show around for improving your skills and upgrading your decks. The intros are hysterical, the challenge-the-stats are always helpful, and the content is varied and worthwhile. Keep up the good work!

I highly advise this podcast if you ar interested in magic and especially, the EDH-Commander format. The trio of hosts are entertaining and have helpful tips on creating a new decks, as well as improving existing decks! If you enjoy statistics, you’ll enjoy this podcast even more!

Great podcast. Love the challenge the stats every episode, it helps me find awesome cards that I hadn’t heard of before. First podcast I listen to anytime they upload a new one even if I’m halfway through a different podcast.
